Time for Week 29s art pulls! I'm definitely most excited about Bakugo for this week! As usual, if you want to see the results head over to my art blog @moki-moridraws next sunday to see them!

Week 27 Art Pulls!
I have to draw two very pretty women this week. Wish me luck ya'll, because I'll need so much talent to draw them as beautiful as they are in their series.
As per usual, if you want to see the results, head over to my art blog @moki-moridraws next Sunday!
Announcement!
I'm planning on starting a Substack blog for all my serialized fiction! If you like my Elegant Mouse Possum, Of Tears and Bone, Engagement of Life and Death, or any of my other long-form projects, then this is where they will be posted from now on! All the items posted there will be up to publishing standards (fully edited for typos, grammar, plot, etc) while my stuff here on Tumblr is a little more relaxed. I will still be posting here on Tumblr; it will mainly be any little pieces of writing that I do as per usual, with snippets of the longer stuff to let you know what's new on the Substack!
Everything on Substack will be 100% free as I'm just getting started there. If you're interested in reading my more polished long-form stuff, then head on over and check it out! I haven't gotten anything up there yet, but I expect to be on a solid schedule by August.
2026 Half Way Point Stats!
And here are the Word Count and Genre Charts for the first 6 months of 2026! At the end of the year, I'll do these for the last six months and then also for the whole year, just as a fun comparison.
My biggest writing day so far was 2/24 with 3,647 words! and ive written mostly in Fantasy with ~39% (are we surprised this is my biggest genre? No, no, we are not). My lowest writing days are the handful of missed days I've had with 0 words written, but my lowest days with some words written are 2/9 with a whole 34 words written. The genre I have written the least in this year is Nonfiction, with ~1% hjaving been written only twice so far this year (the first day of January and the last day of June).
So far so good! I'm hoping to get a more accurate word/genre count in the next 6months as ive updated the way my spreadsheet works. And I'm also hoping to get more editing done soon for a big project I'm working on! (To be announced soon!!!)
June Writing Stats - Genre
A lot of romance this month which is weird since i usually dont write that genre at all. But i really enjoyed writing that particular story so it makes sense that it took up most of the month lol
June Writing Stats - Word Count
I wrote a lot this month, actually. Not on the projects i SHOULD have been working on, but regardless i did write a lot! My biggest day was over 3,000 words (just barely at 3,081)!!
'Long' or 'Short' Form?
I'm working on editing a collection of stories of mine, and ive been wondering if it's better to leave them short or turn them into longer format stories? For context, they are currently Level 5/6 Easy readers (think Frog and Toad but more advanced), and I'm considering moving them to Level 2 Chapter books (similar to the Magic Treehouse series).
This is the only 'childrens' projects ive worked on, so I don't really know where to go with it.
So... Just based on that: Long or Short?
Make it LOOOOONG (Lv2 Chbook)
Keep it short (LV5/6 ER)
Week 26 Art Pulls!
I have some time off coming up this week so I'm going to try for 3 pieces! I will focus on Shoji and Fubuki first and then if i have the time i'll do Toga. If she doesnt get done then she'll get added back to the wheel!
as per usual check out my art blog @moki-moridraws next Sunday to see the results!
Week 25 Art Pulls!
Another round of art pulls from the Wheel of Fanart! This time its A Demon from Demon Slayer and the adorable babies from 'The Remarried Empress'! As per usual, if you want to see the final art peices check out my art bog @moki-moridraws next sunday!
Week 24 Art Pulls
at some point i have to get something different than MHA and KNY right?
Anyway, as usual, if you're interested in seeing the finished pieces, check out my art blog @moki-moridraws next Sunday!
CURSES!
I curse you with: encyclopedic knowledge of the most random bs, that you will only get the chance to use one time. and when that time comes, you will immediately draw a blank on all of that knowledge.
Week 23 Art Pulls!
Yet another Demon Slayer and My Hero Academia duo pull! I'll be drawing both of these this week, if you want to see them check out my art blog @moki-moridraws next Sunday!
Authors, agents, publishers: every part of the industry is seeing the strain of five years of escalating anti-LGBTQ censorship.
if you'd like to show support, here are some upcoming queer books:
When Life Gives You Corpses is a brilliant YA about a cursed praying mantis who falls for a young witch. Yield Under Great Persuasion is a raunchy, but surprisingly sweet story about two men repairing their relationship. Fabulous Bodies is a horror story about a queer rockstar rising from the dead.
This is Where the Future Bleeds is a fantasy set in a vividly imagined land, where two women (who happen to kiss) are the key to healing the broken sky. You're No Better is a story about a teen struggling in the shadow of his murderous parent. Oil on Canvas is about a woman who finds disturbing paintings in the home of her dead mother.
and then here's a list of 26 queer books by Black authors set to publish this year, and a 10 upcoming books by trans authors. if you want to fight back against queer censorship, use your wallet! or (if that's not an option) you can contact your local library and ask them to stock a copy.
Week 22 art pulls!
I have a lot of names on my 'wheel of fanart', so I'm going to try my hand at doing 2 pieces a week! This week's pulls were Gyutaro from Demon Slayer and Kurogiri from My Hero Academia!
if you want to see the finished pieces, check out my blog @moki-moridraws in a week! I post my art there every Sunday!
May Writing Stats - Genre
I was doing more prompt based writign this month since i was losing motivation on my big project and i think it helped a lot! June will be full of more work on getting this big project done (hopefully lol)!!
May Writing Stats - Wordcount
a few big days this month and only a few missed days!
