みかきもり衛士のたく火の夜は燃え昼は消えつつ物をこそ思へ🔥

燃え上がる恋心を、闇夜に浮かぶかがり火に見立てました。黒の器に盛ることで、漆黒の闇に浮かび上がる幻想的な炎をイメージいただけたらいいなと。

Today’s Wagashi : Fires of passion

This Japanese confectionary is inspired by one of the Japanese traditional poem below.

Meaning of the poem “Like the beacon fires lit by the guards of the imperial court, my heart burns with passion at night, but goes cold with the sunrise. The days are so painful that I feel my soul itself may disappear.”

本日の和菓子：水風船

先日お伝えしていたスターバックスさんのSpecialサイトがOPENしました。今回のテーマは「涼やか」ということで、アイスコーヒーに合う夏らしい和菓子をご提案させていただきました。一つ目は練り切りの「水風船」。苦味のあるコーヒーと練り切りの程よい甘みが口の中で溶け合い、個人的には一番しっくりくる組み合わせだなと。今回は暑い夏でも口にしやすいように、錦玉でコーティングしツヤ感を出しました。見た目にも涼やかさを感じていただけたら何よりです。

Today’s Wagashi : Water Balloon The special website of Starbucks coffee I worked with was finally launched. I created summer Japanese confectionery “Water Balloon (you can usually see in a summer festival in Japan)“ which goes well with their ice coffee. I personally think sweet Nerikiri (this type of Japanese confectionery) is the best combination with bitter coffee. They melt in your mouth to make a perfect harmony.
