One of my inventions for the Johnnie Walker House at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. China Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve, Golden Monkey Black Tea, Lemon, Honey. Inspired by blending tea, John Walker started blending whiskies to create a consistent quality product. The practice of drinking tea has a long history in China, having originated there. As homage to this beginning, we have created a cocktail in which Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve is combined with an incredible Chinese black tea, the Golden Monkey King. Steeped in ancient lore and imperial exclusivity, this legendary top Chinese tea is the finest black tea from the Fujian province. This light and refreshing cocktail combines the creamy, honeyed and candied orange peel notes of the exclusive Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve with the full bodied and rich flavors of the Golden Monkey King. With complex notes of cocoa, honey and roasted undertones, this tea makes for an incredible match with the Gold Label Reserve.
