dont get me wrong, its great that pradhan resigned and all, but i cant help but think that the only reason that this protest reached its (toothless) goal is because of how a lot of the people involved in it and heading it were privileged UC/middle-class people who although politically opposed to BJP were ideologically aligned with it. thats the only reason their voices were heard, that it was so widely televised in comparison to the trans bill protests or ken-batwa etc. this protest was just a drop in the ocean compared to the CAA NRC protests and farmers protests and what have you. his resignation was dipke's only goal, and the only reason a lot of the involved students spoke up is to get the situation back to the status quo. i hope you all remember that the education system in india needs radical change. the entire system of neet and competitive exams is flawed. and the resignation of dharmendra pradhan is in the end simply to appease, it does not contribute much to any meaningful, necessary radical change.

that education minster's resignation IS NOT ENOUGH. it will not fix the education system. more importantly, it will not fix this country. i need all of you to understand this is bigger than one minister, bigger than education, and bigger than yourselves. our fight isn't over until the bjp burns in hell.
