“We’ll be good and stay on our side, don’t you worry.”
“I feel like celebrating after all.”
edvspvwel:
“You haven’t dealt much with Mason’s sisters, have you?” She could deal with angry Losties, she had been after all for a long time now. “I’ll take my chances.”
“I don’t want to imagine.”
She could do it, however. As Edie mentioned, Molly had only exchanged a few words here and there with them, nothing much. She was not particularly keen on staying either.
“Head the way if you’re feeling lucky.”
edvspvwel:
At the sight of her almost sister-in-law, Edie knew better than to stick around, headed out the door as quickly as possible. Things were far too tense for her liking, but if she had said as much, she knew she would only be met with stares and maybe an annoying insult- neither of which she was in the mood for.
“What’s the hurry, E?”
Molly didn’t need to know the answer to such question -- she had seen Michelle enter the church. However, out there wasn’t the best place to be, when they were about to claim responsibility for what had happened at the Loft. Hell, Lost Boys were probably pointing fingers at them, which she didn’t mind at all.
cptnhook:
Feet planted on his side of the border, Hook looked every part smug as he watched and heard the blast. Josh had done beautifully, as he trusted he would. The only thing that would have made the moment sweeter for the Captain would have been to be there to see his former father’s face when he realised who’s body was being incinerated in a car paid for by the gains of the empire they built.
He had more restraint than that, too smart to cross the border on a whim. When his feet did touch Lost Boy soil, it would come with a consequence. For them.
If not for Sadie’s unfortunately timed trip across enemy lines, Hook would have regarded it as a damn near perfect strike. However, worry didn’t touch him on the matter. Both Chase and Smee knew better than to return to him empty handed.
He flicked the butt of his cigarette to the other side. This was only the beginning, he already anticipated they would strike back, and when they did he would be ready.
“Fun bonfire night.”
Molly connected the dots -- she was sure every Roger did. It explained the warning they had all received by means of a text. She had seen both Chase and Jason leave the church in a hurry, and Josh was missing. Chaos ensued outside, but not on their side of the border.
“So, what’s next? Got any marshmallows?”
Joke aside, Molly expected the Captain to give the following orders. She was feeling restless, especially after the waiting time they had been put through. Now it was their chance.
doctorsparks:
“I am.” It started after the cinema fire, she and Derek had agreed that both the credit and their titles should be equally spread between them. They were both medical school dropouts, for one reason or another. And in her time working side by side with him, Thea had more than earned that place. “We’re a team.”
For some reason, Molly found the team part funny. In any case, it was useful to know of someone with her profession, especially, with their current status. She went back to her drink, finishing it in one gulp, and not worrying for her hand anymore.
“Hopefully, I won’t have to see you again.”
doctorsparks:
“Thea,” She introduced, watching the woman’s seemingly intense inner turmoil at the question. Had she touched a nerve? Or brought up a bad memory? “I work downstairs with Derek.”
Everything made sense, then. Not with her name, but whom he worked for. Molly suspected she had no idea about her identity or her gang, which also explained Thea’s current easygoing attitude.
“Are you a doctor too?”
Santánico serving looks.
doctorsparks:
“Just observing really, it’s a force of habit.” Thea was always looking for scrapes and bruises on the people of Neverland. It was easy clue into what roles they played here. She saw every escort and call girl at least once a month for the standard needs of women in their line of work. The muscle of each side whenever they needed her. And this woman was nethier. So she was mildly curious of where she fit.
Molly almost got distracted by her own hand, trying to identify the what the other woman had detected in her. A flaw? Her vanity couldn’t afford such thing, but if no one had mentioned it before, there had to be a reason. Molly looked back at her, trying to figure out her identity. For sure, she didn’t belong to the enemy ranks. She would’ve known, so it was better to ask.
“Who are you to know these things?”
chaseinflames:
“When ya lads going learn the difference between between a cleaner and a fuckin’ maid?” Chase thought outloud, collecting the bottles and cans from in between the pews “It’s a fuckin chruch, for christ sake.” He mumbled under his breathe, and if they were drinking in the pews he didn’t even want to think of what was going down in the confessional.
“Want some help?”
She paraded herself around the room, avoiding the mess on the floor, to prevent her heels from getting dirty. Molly wasn’t exactly offering her help -- other Rogers would do it if she told them. Then again, she was having fun looking at Chase struggling with the cleaning.
“Should I bring someone else?”
doctorsparks:
“Have you ever broken your knuckle?” Thea asked, pointing to the woman’s right hand. Noticing a small curving of one of the bones, it was a toss up really. It could’ve been a fracture that healed the wrong way or just a fluke but she’d been staring at her intently to try and figure it out.
A question that took her by surprise. So, the other woman was specifically looking at her right hand. Molly retracted both of them, after putting her glass down. She fiddled with her fingers, and discreetly took the time to observe them, not finding any anomalies, or so her vain self concluded.
“Strange way of diagnosing you have.”
Molly raised her glass, swirling the liquid inside, hypnotized by its circular motion. It looked like she just ordered her drink to pass the time at The Black Sheep -- judging by the vodka left, she hadn’t even touched her. She felt a pair of eyes watching her from behind, and turned around.
“What are you looking at?”
She asked the owner, as kind as ever.
hcydensinclairs:
“Really?” He demanded, shaking his head at her in an irritated manner. He should have known Molly would be childish about being asked to leave, she never seemed to like doing anything they asked of her unless it was coming from Hook himself. “How old are you, Mols? Twelve.” Sometimes he wondered if Molly even liked being part of the Jolly Rogers or if it was just a way for her to assert herself as a dominant and powerful player in Neverland.
“Forget it. I’ll come back later.” He said, his voice full of resign. Hayden knew there was no point in arguing with Molly. If she didn’t want to do something then there was no changing her mind.
“Why? Do I look that young?”
Molly put her chin between her palms, posing for an invisible camera. She couldn’t help but find herself amused by Hayden’s reaction. He was so easy to annoy, it was adorable for a grown-up Roger. She assumed he hadn’t liked her joke, by the seriousness in his face.
“Look who’s acting like a child now...”
masxnwilliams:
Blood stained t-shirts were just a occupational hazard for Mason, but it didn’t mean he didn’t find it any less of a nuisance now than when he first started working for Captain Hook several years ago. Frowning at his reflection in the mirror, Mason pulled the t-shirt over his head, scrunching it up and tossing it into the rubbish bin below the old, cracked, leaking sink. He checked himself over quickly, some of the blood had splattered across his neck and up his forearm but as far as he could tell none of the blood belonged to him.
“How unsanitary of you.”
She scrunched up her nose. It looked like the Big Bad Croc was back from a job, but Molly didn’t ask him. How many bloody pieces of clothing had they even tossed away? As long as the blood wasn’t theirs, she thought.
“To think poor Edie has to deal with this.”
She commented jokingly. Molly was sure the girl had seen him in those conditions several times before. It was natural to get used to it.
hcydensinclairs:
Hayden’s never kept his prayers a secret, he was raised a catholic boy and still attended church every Sunday until Chuck’s death. He wasn’t about to start sharing those prayers in front of the rest of the crew, especially Molly. It was one thing to prayer to a man that not everybody believed in, it was another to pray to him about your dead brother who happened to be a member of their biggest rival gang — The Lost Boys.
“Me and the big man need to have a talk ourselves.” Hayden said, casting a glance towards Molly before turning his gaze towards the altar and candles that lined the table in front of it. He burned one of those candles every time he prayed for Chuck, prayed that his brother was somewhere better than this place.
Somewhere safer.
“Too bad I got here first.”
She replied, communicating her intentions of not leaving. Molly should’ve seen it coming from him, knowing he was being serious about talking to a god she had long forgotten about. But whatever he could find comfort in was okay, she guessed. It was difficult to remain hopeful in that place.
“Guess we will have to share, huh?”
Molly followed Hayden’s eyes and she noticed they fell upon the several candles. Another hazard when its flames were dancing from one side to the other. She almost felt tempted to remind him to blow it out when he was done with his praying session.
“I know that I am a sight for sore eyes, but…”
Molly looked out of the corner of her eye, once she noticed she wasn’t by herself. She left behind the little comfort the dirty pew of the church offered, to walk through the aisle and sit next to the intruder.
“Can’t a girl have a little talk with God?”
She hadn’t exactly spent her me time praying, but she didn’t expect someone to appear in the middle of the ominous silence that ruled the old building, which she wasn’t used to yet.
chrliedavis:
Charlie eyed the girl with caution, she could tell by the way the words hung on her lips that she was not sent down from heaven (but she sure did look like she was). Maybe she was one of the dangers of Neverland she had always heard about but never seen before. Her mother had told her stories of the underground city but the real nightmares she had heard came from her training hours spent in hospitals just outside of Neverland. The girl looked like trouble to Charlie, and she sensed that the other girl enjoyed it. “Didn’t mean to get on your bad side.” Charlie raised her hands like a white flag, she wasn’t looking for trouble tonight. She was just looking for the boy named Lewis, as the game insisted she did. “Just trying to find the guy on the card before somebody tries to make me shot what ever that green stuff is.”
“This isn’t my bad side, believe me.”
Adorable, she thought. At least, the girl was smart enough not to cross her. She didn’t look like a local either, but if she kept it up, she could easily survive in a place like Neverland. Cowardice was another way. Shame that not everyone used their brains like she did. She was ready to send her away.
Green stuff? What was she referring to? Molly looked around. Could it be the absinthe drinks? In any case, it looked like she wouldn’t be able to handle it at all if she tried it.
“Better not touch that. See you around.”
sdvrling:
❝ SHE REACHED BEHIND the bar counter, grabbed a bottle and poured herself a generous dose. whiskey didn’t bother asking if molly wanted, too – of that was to come the other could well find herself a drink. “ what am i gonna do ‘bout it ? ” she laughed, not as scornful as the other, but still, devoid of any emotions. “ nothing but laugh at how misplaced you look. ”
whiskey knew she was playing with fire, but that was her problem – a tongue that could not be held inside her mouth and old habits that die hard. the roger had a point – it was a stupid move made by now her side. “ stop and think, are you really in position to make threats right now ? i’ve heard burning churches is kinda profane, but i doubt they have any ideals against it. ”
“That’s what I thought.”
Molly was very pleased with herself, and the fact that Scarlett couldn’t come up with a better answer. He who laughs last, laughs longest. She also joined her with a smirk, insincere. Losties and their friends had gotten cocky but it wouldn’t last. Her feathers remained unruffled and she felt like a peacock.
She personally considered it a win. Still, the only thing that could make Molly happier would be if their enemy also tasted the infernal flames -- the law of retaliation, basically.
“Watch out. We’ll see who ends up going to St. Paul’s.”
