Opening the door to a world of Molvin
So I thought what happened on Sunday evening was the perfect basis to start the blog. No crazy moments but a typically Molvin one.
After Mariofest (one of the best nights of 2011) we decide that we need to spend this sunny Sunday evening consuming a splendid amount of cheesey buds. Molvin of course is more than partial to a couple of Albert Humperdinks so he was coming over to Humphreys to converse over last nights happenings.
The best bit about this story was that the MM(Molvin Moment) happened before he actually even entered the garden.
So he pulls up in his car and we are all sitting in the back garden. The only barrier to entry is the fence gate something that not many people would consider a major problem when entering a house.
Molvin attempts to open the gate, gives the lock a bit of a fiddle and eventually gives up on the decision that the gate is locked. So as anyone else would calls for one of us to open the gate.
We oblige to open the gate but really we can't be bothered as everyone feels like an Orangutans rectum. So Molvin waits, you can hear the silence behind the gate as he dreams about getting his hands on some great greenery. Time ticks by and the birds sing as the sunsets over Burnham as he waits for us to open the gate.
Another quick rattle of the handle, more silence followed by a few giggles as we wonder how on earth he hasn't managed to enter through the gate yet. There was good reason for this however.
Dan Durant jokes that he will be over to attend to the problem at once, but really we know Molvin is having one of his moments so actually not one of us had moved as of yet to attend to this gated fiasco. Letting him wait was funny there is no denying that - not because we are mean and selfish but because we knew the truth.
The gate was open the whole time.
