This is the final version of my 3min film. I am very happy with how it came out in the end. There were many hurdles along the way and I had to change many things. At a certain point, I had to delete about 40% of my work which was a complete nightmare. However it ended up a lot better than the original, I am glad that Crit feedback exists since it helped me see a different view of my film during the process. I was certainly blinded and too much into it to see my mistakes. So for me, it was very helpful to hear everyone’s opinions before it was too late into the production.
There are a few things that I could have worked on more and developed further but my own lack of judgment was holding me back. I didn’t assess or spread out my time properly. I kind of just went with the flow with the thought that there wouldn’t be any problems along the way, but I was very wrong. The sound effects were initially supposed to be done by me and my friends, and the soundtrack was going to be a little different. After the first version of the film was scrapped I had been past the point where I could ask my friends for help because they were all working and couldn’t make it. Therefore in the end I ended up doing all of the voice over’s and I found another soundtrack that I could use, which to be honest works a lot better than the old one. Also to save time, instead of adding sound effects for the action scenes I thought that It would be easier to just fade in another soundtrack that suited those scenes, and that worked out way better than I expected.
In the end, I enjoyed this last year the most, it was very fun and educational. I managed to create things that I can be proud of, and present to future companies or employers.
