I want to take a minute to talk about the currently airing anime, Even a replica can fall in love, which has honestly exceeded all my expectations, especially with the latest episode.

At first glance, the story seems simple; Sunao, the female lead, 'births' her own replica when she was a small girl, and they played together as children. But as she grows, so does the replica, and she constantly uses her to live her daily routine, while she stays bundled up in bed. At first glance, the viewer could see her as selfish, especially considering the contrasting/sweet nature of Nao the replica. But as the story unravels, you realize it is deeper than that. Nao the replica gets close to a guy in the class named Sanada, who coincidentally also reveals himself as a replica later on! It is also revealed that if the original human hurts themselves, the replica feels the pain too. This is seen in Sanada's basketball arc, who has his ankle broken by a jealous senpai. The latest episode has me shook, as Sanada is pushed by him in front of a running train, and our sweet replica Nao pulls him back, but she is about to fall in front of the train herself! Don't kill her please😭

As the bond between the replicas deepen with the episodes, the depth of the characters begins to play out and show, and I very much look forward to seeing how the story progresses. The original humans themselves should hopefully get more fleshed out arcs from now on. I look forward to seeing how the story progresses.

An anipoké related post for old time's sake-

Pokeshipping was great, but the dub really took their liberty in shoehorning hints when it wasn't even related to the original. I can do an analysis on 'Gotta catch you later' where the original trio parts ways. First of all, Misty's song lool was completely unrelated to the original, which showed relevant scenes to her meeting togepi etc, while the dub made it Ash related. Also her last line in the same episode, 'I finally know how you feel about me, Ash Ketchum', while in the original it was, 'I understand your feelings Satoshi'(about the three of us parting ways).

They did the same thing with Contestshipping in AG, which is a fantastic ship in and of itself, but May's conversation with Soledad? In the dub she directly tells May, 'Drew started to develop feelings for you along the way', while the original Japanese dialogue is more on the lines of him beginning to respect her skills as a coordinator, which makes a lot more sense considering their dynamic.

Both are great ships though.
