Caregiver Tips 101
1. Don't even neglect, ignore, or dismiss your little. A lot of littles might regress because they enjoy it but there's more than what meets the surface. Some might have abandonment issues or been abused in the past etc. If you do that as a caregiver despite knowing their trauma, you don't deserve to be a caregiver.
2. Never raise your voice or yell at your littles. Yes you can have a strict tone but it has to be the same level of your voice. Yelling can make them insecure or feel as if they're a burden or even cause them severe distress. As a caregiver you're meant to be there to help and care for them, not make them feel as if they're unwanted.
3. As a caregiver you're meant to care and provide for your little. Just because they trust you does not mean you should abuse that precious trust. Respect their boundaries and wishes. Don't ever force them to do anything they don't want too. Especially sexual stuff if the little is a minor and agere, nonsexual etc.
4. Cheating is a big no no. If you and your little don't have a mutual poly relationship, there is no reason you should be with other littles without them knowing. Not only are you making them insecure but youre hurting them more deeply than you'd think.
5. When your little is upset, sad, hurt, or distressed please do not brush it off or do nothing. It's the littlest things that matter. For example, you can sing them a little happy song or have them color for you and praise them for a job well done. I can go on but doing nothing even if you're not sure is hurtful. Anything is better than nothing. It truly shows you care.
6. Verbal abuse is not a form of punishment. That is abuse that messes with their mental health. Doing anything that threatens their mental space or little space is just a disappointment. Especially if it's done out of spite or on purpose. At that point, you have no reason being a caregiver.
7. All littles what are to be cared for and loved. They're just precious wittle people thay deserve the best they can get. If you aren't prepared to try then don't lead them all. Remember there is well versed and seasoned caregivers out there. You can ask questions. Like you can ask me questions and I'll gladly answer.
