Putting his arm around his wife he helped guide her out into the car ,helping her buckle in he ran to his driver side and pulled out of the drive way.”Just breath slowly babe, this could all be something simple ok? You’lll be ok because we’re going to figure out what this is and why it keeps causing you so much pain”He said pulling out of their closed gated community a and onto the main roads where he was of course being safe but also trying to rush around the people. After the thirty minutes drive they pulled into the emergency room parking lot ,Jumping out he ran around to the other side “Ready?”he asked 

The minutes they spent in the car felt like hours easily, each second taking longer to linger around, but Alexa couldn’t help but pierce her teeth into her bottom lip to stifle any noise to emit from her lips. Her hand stayed pressed ontop of Carlos’s until they had finally pulled into the hospital parking lot. Gingerly she positioned herself out of her seat, wincing slightly at the cramps that continued to worsen. “I’m more than ready,” she confirmed with a nod, slowly climbing herself out of the passenger’s side with her body completely dependent on Carlos. Hoping herself out of the seat, she grimaced at the shock of another pain crossing her abdomen. “I might be able to walk to the front desk, but then again I don’t think I can make it, babe. Can you carry me, please?”

Carlos heard the door open “Hey! kids are sleeping , we’ll call you when we get an update”He said to his sister-in-law,walking back to Lex “Can you walk or want me to carry you tot he car?”He asked his wife trying his best ot keep calm even just a little bit more so they weren’t both freaking out over this. Grabbing his car keys he pressed the button that would start it from the inside of the house and slipping his shoes on ,making sure he had everything before going by his wife putting an arm around her “It’s all going to be ok ,babe”He said kissing her side forehead 

Once Makenzie made her appearance in the house, Alexa’s fear dwindled slightly, becoming more reassured despite her eyes following her husband’s every move. Shaking her head, she slowly arose from her place on the couch, a sharp breath inhaling as she couldn’t help but bend over as another pain shocked through her body. “I think if I can just keep myself steady I’ll be okay.” She stated to him as her eyes widened. Finally she shuffled her way to give her sister a hug goodbye and nodding to Carlos as he breathed out his words, which she couldn’t help but believe him. “I don’t know what I would do without you, babe. I’ve probably been the most annoying person in the world the past few days, but hopefully we’ll get an answer.” She said through gritted teeth, her hands resting over Carlos’s forearm as she rested her head on his shoulder.

Carlos paused “Crap!ok hold on!”he said jumping up and running to find his phone on the counter to call his sister-in-law to come over and watch the kids ,which luckily she only lived two minutes away from them. Coming back “do you want me to call the ambulance or can you make it for my driving you to the hospital,babe?”He asked running his fingers in his hair trying to figure out what he should be doing to help her. He’s only ever seen her in this much pain twice before when she giving birth to their little miracles so seeing her this way with no seemingly answer  was a lot for him to take in, if it was her appendix and it did burst they only had a little bit of time to try and get it taken out and clean her body of the toxics. 

Her husband’s frantic nature then caused Alexa to become troubled as her eyebrows furrowed in deep distress as she was helpless in watching him call her sister, who thankfully was practically their next door neighbour. Shaking her head at his question, she reluctantly stood to her feet, pressing a soft hand to Carlos’s shoulder. “I think I’ll be fine if you can drive me, babe. Just as long as we leave right now. I don’t know how many more of these cramps I can take.” She confessed quietly, a nervous chuckle suppressing from her lips. If anything Alexa hoped she didn’t have to make the pain sound worse than it was, dreading making the trip to the hospital only to find out that she had blown the entire situation well out of proportion.

Carlos had known that Alexa had not been feeling the best the last couple days so he had laid the kids down for their naps and was out front cleaning up the yard and just relaxing to give his wife a bit of a break from all the wildness of their household . With two overly excited water babies and Carlos being the loud dad he was knew that it can all be too much sometimes so he wanted to her to chill. Hearing his name being called in what almost sounded rushed and painicky he jumped up the stairs that lead inside the house to find his wife “Alexa?”He called searching around until he found her in the living room, rushing over he sat next to her “Whats wrong, did something happen?”He asked looking at her 

The girl could barely think straight as she bent herself over the couch, finding it difficult to catch her breath as her muscles felt as though they were about to burst. The first instinct she had was her appendix, as she hadn’t ever gotten it taken out, however she was unsure if the pain would have been caused that long and without an end in sight. “I don’t know, I think it might be my appendix..” She answered, her tone wavered as she shook her head. “I’ve been having these cramps on and off for a while and I just don’t know what it is.” A line of sweat broke out on her forehead as she leaned her head onto the headrest of the couch, her eyes still glued shut.

For the past few weeks, the blonde had been feeling nothing short of miserable. It was nearly impossible for the emotion of distress to not be present on her face. Despite the awful and sick feeling in the pit of her stomach, Alexa didn’t want to seem weak, or incapable -- especially when there were two little human who depended half on her. But today was when Alexa truly felt off, so much so that she was sure something had to be wrong. It had been a few weeks since she last had a period, quite frankly it had been a little more than a few weeks. The girl couldn’t remember the last time she’d felt so sick. All morning her stomach had been twisting in cramps, strong enough cramps to cause her to bend over in pain. With a slight break in the motion, Alexa sat idly on the couch, her daughter perched in her lap as she leaned up in the sofa, hoping the pressure of the velvet would soothe her pain. “Carlos?” She croaked out hesitantly, her eyes squeezed shut as she let out a ruffled sigh as the familiar pain returned, hoping her husband was nearby.

alexapenavega: @aarontveit aw thank you aaron :) he was great wasn’t he? i know the answer to that question and it is no. oooh i wouldn’t be so sure, i can definitely see myself having one but i’m also his wife sooo it’s a given i guess. a little bit! i did just a small portion in spy kids and ruby and the rockits. totally not as good as carlos though he has all the pipes in this house that’s for sure.
