Sometimes we are not immediately blessed with the things we desire due to our heart posture on the real reason we want something. If the desire is rooted in envy, lust, greed, pride, or ego, we want it for the wrong reasons. Wanting more money isn’t inherently bad, but are you wanting it to boast to other people and buy things that make you look like you are in an upper social class? Or do you want the resources to help others in need? Wanting to be fit isn’t inherently bad, but are you wanting it to draw attention to yourself and prove to others of your physical beauty, or do you want to be healthy for your current/future family and to live life to its fullest potential? Do you want to be friends with someone because they are deemed cool and have a popular network of people, or do you want to be in their life to love and support them through their high, lows, & imperfections? Our heart posture matters. The finances, the friends, the recourses, the little things we want in life will come once the reason behind them is rooted in purity.
