The moment he’s addressed Ryuji takes a step closer to the guy, looking ready to fight him even if he’d rather not. “ What’s it matter?! I ain’t need to be someone’s friend to stop people from bein’ assholes! ” His glare remained solid, even at the insults of ‘not being worth it’ tossed at him.

Fine by him. It’d safe him the hassle of a fight.

In the end he wasn’t so sure though if the words might not have been meant for Mishima instead to which Ryuji turned around and did a short check up on him. He seemed to be in one piece and unharmed. Thank god.

Stance relaxed and glare softening to a smile instead, the punk let his hand disappear back into his pocket while handing the Moon his wallet back. “ You okay man? I hope this ain’t happenin’ more often! Y’really gotta learn how to stand up for yourself, dude. ” Even if he sounded more like a bossy bully, his words held an honest nature.

Then again- he was happy to be of help. Being called a superhero… it definitely was a great ego boost. If someone acknowledged his work (even if most of it was indirectly) it was Mishima. Did the guy even know he was a phantom thief as well? Best to not say anything. “ Nah man. I just hate watchin’ people get into shit if they dun deserve it. ” Eyes averting he looked into the direction the guys disappeared with a frown before letting it ease away to grin back at his pal.

“ But I ain’t never sayin’ no to free food! ”

   The only one that Mishima was sure was a phantom thief was the transfer student but he did have an inkling since Ryuji had also been involved. Well, that was a lie to say he was 100% positive that the transfer student was the phantom thief. As it was only his own assumptions and the other never really confirm or deny it either. Which if he’s wrong in a sense the boy been making an ass of himself, but he rather not think about that. Right now he needed to be thankful for the fact he actually has money for food and not a black eye.

     At the question, if this happened often and that he should stand up for himself the shorter male shifts awkwardly. Guessing that was a fair question even if the other was a bit rough with the question at the least he could tell the other was concerned. “U-Um not that often, it used to be worst but I guess I just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.” He stated, not wanting the other to think he was always being bullied. It hasn’t happened in a long while so it was honestly bad luck, at least Mishima would like to believe so. Though maybe with Kamishido now gone it created a vacuum for the small time bullies to come out, god he hopes not.

     Though he meant it when he thought the other’s timing had been perfect and exactly like a superhero. In a way, it helped him see the other in a new light and hearing that the other hated seeing people in trouble confirmed it. He laughs a bit and smiles brightly as Sakamoto seemed excited at the idea of free food. “Well since you saved me just in time I actually have money and if you don’t mind would you want to eat at like a Ramen?” He questioned, in the back of his mind a part of him was curious if maybe he should ask if the other is also a phantom thief.

     Though, he got this feeling that he might not get a straight answer if the other was one. So maybe he’ll keep that musing to himself.

     I been having writing blocks, as Mishima is a hard character to write. He is the most normal and grounded character in Persona 5. No big secrets, no bad family history, just a normal kid that had been bullied and wants to be special. It’s why I never treat him as an ‘innocent’ cinnamon roll cause he isn’t meant to be one. The average everyday man just wants to live and make it big in life, similar to another favorite kid Yosuke. 

     However, the hard part with dealing with the grounded/normal character is making him interesting. I want to explore his selfish desires, the fact he isn’t self-sacrificing. That unlike the whole group his intentions may have been good but wanted to use them too. I want him to justify himself, to feel isolated and to feel included. I want him to get in trouble cause he finally snaps on a bully only to end in trouble.

     I have so many ideas BUT no idea how to execute ANY of them and thus the writers block. OTL

With Akira nowhere in sight after school the Chariot decided to venture by himself and get some extra miles on his train record. Keeping in shape was important and running did still make him feel almost as free as spending time roasting shadows in the metaverse did. 

He walked down the halls, now almost immune to the spiteful glances and the whispers whenever they saw the rebel walk down the halls of Shujin. Despite Kamoshida being taken down he’d never openly admitted to his wrong doings against Ryuji but the Chariot had decided that it didn’t matter all that much. Ann and Shiho had gotten their justice and the volleyball team was safe now; that was what mattered the most.

His reputation was ruined anyway. Sometimes it even came handy for the faux blonde.

Just like when he stumbled right into a bad scene of bullying after freshly changed into his gym uniform and ready to start stretching. Seeing Mishima in such a tricky situation was a no go! Not that he wouldn’t have helped out anyone else in such a situation but Mishima was the last that had deserved that kind of treatment. Not after all the things he’d done for them!

“ The eff you think yer doin’ huh?! ” His voice loud and thundering he disrupted the situation without a sense of tact and with no hesitation. Shoving the bully holding Mishima’s wallet in his hands a step back he got himself between the group and Mishima, sending a heated glare their way. “ Cut the crap and scram yer pieces of shit! ” In a swift move he snatched the wallet back and dared the guy to try and get it back from him. “ Also I dun think this belongs to ya. Get yerself a better hobby than pickin’ on others, will ya? ”

     At this point, Mishima was close to giving up as he knew it would only make things work. Every fiber of his being though screamed at him to do something to lunge and fight back. But he knew that was useless when he was only one guy, so he naturally leans back against the wall. Trying to make himself as small as possible just wanting to go home, of course, things could never be simple. His body jolts in surprise when heard the school’s delinquent suddenly coming along shouting at the top of his lungs.

     “Sakamoto-Kun-” Mishima whispered, in shock that someone came to his aid in his time of need. Almost exactly like a superhero. 

     “The hell? Are you two suddenly friends now?” One of the punks questioned, hands in their pockets with eyes narrowed. This guy seemed ready to fight them despite the reputation, but the one that had the wallet put a hand up. This, of course, earned a questioning look from the guy who looked at his friend wondering why he was stopped.

     “It’s not worth it man, you know how Sakamoto is and I’m not about to be getting in trouble cause of him.” With those words, the ‘leader’ of the two backed off instantly likely cause they only wanted to pick on someone weak, not an actual challenge. Not that the small teen was surprised, but it was definitely a kind of jab at his ego. Though he relaxed as they quickly left the scene with the two left alone.

     “I think my heart stopped for a second there-” Mishima noted, putting a hand over his heart as he sighed. Having thought the two were going to gang up on them but then it seemed they weren’t dumb enough to drag it out before the teacher gets here. Turning his gaze up at the blond he felt himself smile brightly in awe. 

     “Man- You came in at just the right time, just like a superhero!” He shouted, his eyes wide with delight at the fact he knew someone that cool. Though he did think the bully was exaggerating to assume they were friends- Which they were! But like, not in the have they ever hanged out sense-      “Just one look and they were off, thanks, man I owe you a meal!”

Nicest thing about Zenni? You can upload a photo of yourself to try on glasses, and if you don’t like them - YOU CAN RETURN THEM for credit! This is because you don’t need to gouge your customer to make money, glasses really cost only pennies to make. Now I can buy a couple of pairs, and have choices in what I wear, rather than investing hundreds of dollars - sometimes for quality that sucks.

Regardless of whom you buy from, don’t feed Luxottica any more.

Zenni is international! I’ve been buying my glasses there now for years and I’ve never had any issues. Not with fit, not with lenses, not with breaks - nothing.

I have a strong, difficult prescription and was regularly paying upwards of $700AUD every two years for a single pair of glasses. I bought my current pair of glasses a couple years ago from Zenni and guess how much I spent?

…$7. In total. Frames and lenses. And they are singularly the best glasses I’ve ever had. I wear my glasses every waking hour of my life and these babies have not just survived but they look almost as good as when I first received them.

And because they are so cheap I also have a pair of sunglasses, and TWO pairs of alternative glasses I can wear when the mood strikes me. Since then my mom AND my dad, my uncle, and my cousin have all started to buy from Zenni.

BUY YOUR GLASSES FROM ZENNI! I cannot stress this enough. If you’re paying retail then you’re being ripped off.

Zenni ain’t the only place out there. In fact I shopped there first then found other’s I liked better. I primarily buy off Eyebuydirect but I have also shopped at coastal and Zenni. Eyebuydirect has been overall my favorite. There prices are in the same price bracket as Zenni which is like $12-$80 for frames and where as zenni you can get lenses for free Eyebuydirect the lenses I think are like $14-18 

but the quality of the glasses I have gotten from Eyebuydirect felt far superior to those I got from zenni, Eyebuydirect also has great customer service. Basically please look around the internet. Like just cause glasses are fucking awesome and deserve to be a fashion statement as well as a need. 

I am currently wearing a pair of glasses from eyebuydirect that I paid a little over $100 I  got frames that where $35 and I got those fancy blue coated lenses that help protect your eyes against looking at screens for extended time (I get way less headaches with them!) those lenses where a bit pricier.

but. in comparison, last I checked in at walmart (fucking walmart.) my lenses alone base cost would of been $140 that’s just the stupid glass discs not even the frames.

You do need to get a prescription from an optometrist, that you can’t avoid, however you don’t have to buy the eyeglasses from your optometrist, some don’t like that because that’s where they make their money - others are paid salary by their stores so they don’t care. Part of the prescription is the pupillary distance, and you’ve paid for that, so they have to give it to you. If they still don’t, Zenni has a ruler you can print out, so you can figure it out yourself.

Also, if you eyeglasses are not correct (I have no line bifocals and those can be an issue, though I’ve never had them with Zenni) you just send them back no charge to get re-made, or send them back for a refund. You don’t lose anything for trying except time.

Do not buy your eyeglasses from a retailer who is going to charge you a hundred dollars when you can get them online for under 25.
