Sent out my first draft to people. Now it's time to take six weeks off.
Last night, while editing, I got caught up in this funk. I wasn't happy with the beginning of the novel. Everything about it reeked of amateur and I got frustrated in not knowing if I was capable of fixing it.
After a drink and a delicious burger to celebrate this small milestone of completing the first draft, I woke up this morning with new vigor. I just re-wrote the opening of the book and completely surpassed my expectations.
It's always great when a story writes itself. From here on out, no more days off until this first draft is ready to be shown.

Editing is just as, if not more, exhausting than actually writing.
The first draft is complete.
I just finished the first draft of the novel tonight. That's it, the final line has been written. The hard work is done, now it's time to re-read it and edit it with a fine toothed comb until I won't be embarrassed to show it to people.
This is one of the best days of y life, but it hasn't set in yet.

Almost done.
I'm almost done the first draft of the first novel. I'll be editing it for the next 2 or 3 weeks, then it will be ready to be seen by a select few.
In concurrence with the editing of the first draft, I'm also going to start looking for some freelance artists who could draw the cover of the book. If you are reading this and you think you can, send me a message.
I'll possibly need artists to draw up some promotional stuff as well. I can't promise to pay a large sum of money, but I'll try to pay reasonably for your time. And hey, if this book kicks off, I'll make sure the profits trickle down to those who helped with its success.
