One Year
I have a lot of time now. A LOT OF TIME.  I work at a job that actually kind of pays ok, doesn’t take massive amounts of advantage of their employees and – to be honest I don’t really know how to feel about it. I’m just so used now to being treated like crap.  My former job was at a studio in Los Angeles, a place that I’ve dreamed of working at since I had this kind of crazy idea that it would be fun to work for a company you admired.  I met some of my best friends there, I fell in love there (twice, I think) I got my heart broken there, I became best friends with the girl who would later become my nemesis, I won stuff, I lost many things – my dignity being one of them, I grew as a person there and I think in a way became closer to the person that I imagined I would someday become.   I also happen to be a certain size, which has dictated everything about my life.  It took 27 years, but I’m finally comfortable with me.  I’ve finally learned that it’s not my job to make people feel comfortable with my size and it’s not something that I have to apologize for.  So this, thing that I’m writing, is my project for the next year. Writing this down, sharing my experiences in loving, living, losing, lamenting.  My goal is at least one of these a week, maybe more because like I said, I have a lot of time now.
