Explorer of Edregon by Wizardly Dude
The universe is dying. Thank God there’s a backup plan. Randomly selected by some mysterious higher power, Vin went from dirt-poor vagabond
Thousands of planets are dead or dying including Earth. People and places are threaded together on a hexagonal grid. Vin is one of the lucky people who will arrive first in this new world. He homeless with a great need to explore and find new friend. He is a standard goody two shoes with a good personality who tries to adhere to pacifism in a world that rewards violence and following your true nature.
There is a good balance between civilization building and pure exploration, but you can expect no matter where Vin and his cohorts are they will inevitably find themselves in some wacky situations.
my favorite characters are Vin or CurashÂ
Firebrand by D.E. Olesen aka Quill
Firebrand is a magic school progression fantasy that takes place in a ancient roman flavored setting. It is a slow burn progression where the character development and power growth feels natural and earned. All of the characters feel interesting with their quirks, but still grounded in how people act. The larger scale politics and actions of countries are fun to learn about and are relevant to story as a whole. The magic system is classic fantasy magic in a lot of areas, but with an interesting twist that the magic is very dependent on person perspective and societal ideals.
Sing the story, bard, of the Firebrand. He, the youth who saved Morcaster from ruin. He, the warrior who defeated an empire. He, the archmag
The Zombie Knight Saga By George M. Frost
Zombie Knight Saga or ZKS cause I am lazy is my absolute favorite web novel. It has over 3000 pages and been in progress for over 10 years of and on by it's author Frost but mostly keeping a rate of one page a day.
It is a modern setting progression fantasy with hundreds of interesting characters. monolithic scale in terms of the small day to day people and the incredibly powerful organizations. The story starts fun but slow and tricks you into learning all about his world and caring about every character.
The power system is unlike any other I have seen and creates engaging fights with a solid basis on how the powers of the story work. If you like weird but solid power systems you will love this.
A dark serial novel. Free to read, contemporary fantasy. Mature language. Updated by ~500 words every night at midnight EST.
Death is coming. And he wants to help. The world of Eleg may seem like a normal enough place at first blush, but wade deeper into it, and so

Delve by SenescentSoul
Delve is an litRPG isekai where the main character was transported to a world with magic and a video game like progression system. The main character is flawed and relies on his friends. And he when he comes to the setting he has no advantages not to mention cant speak the language. The perspective frequently changes perspectives to other interesting characters and explores their view. The fact it is a litRPG usually is a red flag for me but the author's obsession with numbers means that at no point it feels that the author uses stats or power as a substitute for good writing or character development. The cultures of the world and organizations feel natural for the magic and power system.
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summone

Mark of the Fool. By J.M. Clarke (U Juggernaut)
Mark of the Fool is an almost complete web novel that takes place in a high fantasy world that seems to be inspired from both classic fantasy and modern versions like D&D. It is a progression fantasy that avoids the power fantasy problems. The magic system and world are top notch, and a wide cast of fully developed characters.
