The rise in “DIY HRT” is so disturbing

No bloodwork. No liver panels. No monitoring for blood clots or electrolyte imbalances. Just hormones off a sketchy website and someone on Tiktok telling you it’s brave.

Transition with cross sex hormones involves ongoing labs for a reason,those checks catch dangerous complications before they become emergencies. Skipping that isn’t bodily autonomy, it’s reckless, and it’s disturbing how casually it gets pushed on people, especially the young and vulnerable, like affirmation matters more than whether they’re physically safe.

Literally every problem comes down to too many males. Ducks fuck their species into oblivion with gangrape drownings, leaving less females thus leading to more gangs of males and the cycle continues.

Allergies/asthma/etc. that past generations didn't see much of? Because male leaders decided to plant only male trees in many cities, leading to an overload of pollen modern humans can't handle.

(They claimed it was to prevent excess fruit rotting on the sidewalk, but they couldn't have planted non-fruiting trees, or given the fruit away? Get real, their egos like the idea or replacing female trees with male. Femicide reaches even to plants.)

Not even to mention human gangrape, the enormity of the porn and trafficking industry, and wars fought for little other reason than "excess men with nothing to live for".

There is no species that allows this many males to exist, and when that scale tips too far, the results are always disastrous.

There is no deep political answer to modern problems, nor is the answer a philosophical one. These are all just men pointing the finger to deny the far simpler answer that terrifies them: there are just too many males. We have too many and like any species with too many males, we are suffering for it.

I got an anti-choice flyer in the mail and skimmed all their points “answering” questions like what if the pregnancy is a result of rape, what if the pregnancy is dangerous to the woman, etc. And of course their answers always ended up demanding that women keep the pregnancy and give birth. My question is, so do you expect women to just go about our lives accepting that they can change at any second on any man’s whim? Accepting that at any moment we could be forced to give up 9 months of our lives and go through the physical trauma of labour and birth, and deal with the way it permanently alters our bodies…just because a man rapes us? Are our bodies never our own? Are our bodies just potential incubators at all times? How unfathomably cruel. Women’s bodies are our own. How dare you expect us to accept a life where we could be forced into pregnancy and birth at any second. I simply don’t have words for how evil and sadistic that is.

My favourite is their claim that very few abortions are from pregnancies that are the result of rape. But then you look at the reference and it actually shows that few women listed rape as their "main reason" for the abortion.

I of course don't give a shit what a woman's reason is, main or otherwise, I support her without question as long it's her choice. But I do find that particular misinformation interesting. Though not surprising.

They're really digging deep on this and it's not that deep at all. I don't reclaim that word because it is indeed still a slur here, it's still synonymous with weird and there's nothing weird about homosexuality or bisexuality, and there shouldn't be anything weird about women dressing masculinely and men dressing femininely. That's it lol.

When i was hospitalized for my ed, one of the key things they used to assess my mental health (and to declare that i was “mentally deteriorating” the longer I stayed) what by looking at how I performed femininity. When i was first hospitalized I woke up super early and did my hair + makeup everyday, wore tight feminine clothing, shaved, etc. As the months went on I stopped doing those things, I wore baggy clothes, never wore makeup, stopped shaving, always tied my hair up, and my doctors declared this was a sign of worsening mental illness, and that I needed to try harder to recover (and that my medication dosage needed to be increased), trying harder meant they wanted me to force myself to go back to my original routine of uncomfortable femininity, never did they even consider that a. it was so fucking ridiculous, especially when i was living in a fucking hospital full time for months on end and b. that i was so uncomfortable being forced to live in a hospital, having no freedom, and being forced to gain weight, and baggy clothes/not participating in exhausting, appearance focused routines gave me a small bit of comfort in a seemingly never ending state of extreme discomfort.

A few times a month we had makeup artists and hair dressers come in to do our makeup and hair as “therapy”, and we would once a week be allowed on an outing to get our nails done. Refusal to participate was considered “non-compliance” and refusal to participate in treatment, which meant that your little freedom to do things like sit outside or have supervised walks were taken away, and your stay would be extended for 2 weeks.  

I mean it was so totally beyond fucked up that doctors would do that to anyone, let alone teenage girls suffering from severe eating disorders. And yet they wonder why almost none of the girls there got any better. Any sort of appearance based “therapy” is bullshit and not getting to the root of the problem, and further harming girls.

I can’t touch on the ED part, but when I was 16 and forced into a mental hospital for two weeks, at the end of the two weeks they wanted to put me in a long term mental health facility (which was a whole illegal and immoral process in itself that left me PTSD for life but I’ll talk about that another time) Of course me being forced there, I did not want to stay there any longer, and I decided to go to court to make my case to leave. The lawyer against me had used the fact that I “had stopped wearing my nice clothes and makeup and has horrible personal hygiene” ?? I took a shower every day?? I just had stopped “"caring”“ because the only people around me were doctors and patients going through the same thing, I was in the same building for two weeks, why would I make an effort on my appearance !!! Point is he won the case with that and I had to be forced into another long term care facility in that basis of not performing my femininity 😕😕
