Web Design - GW Marine

The aim for this project was to design a website that was more engaging, while also refreshing it to modern standards.

Although it didn't start out as a logo-refresh exercise, it soon became apparent that the client was not happy with their existing logo. Despite being tied to the anchor and the colour blue, they were keen to explore a less jarring colour than the original yellow.

I took the opportunity to alter the intersection of the anchor with the wave, and also adjusted the balance of the anchor so that it became symmetrical. See below for the transition of the USA version of their logo.

SCOOP Spread - Riverstone

I had the opportunity to take the beautiful existing Riverstone brand and apply it to a SCOOP spread.

One of the lovely things about the Riverstone branding is the idea of "moments" - those special instances that you experience in your own home.

For SCOOP publications, the focus of the moment is usually based on the seasons. Thus, I thought the phrase "Autumn is...THE HUSH before winter" was appropriate, coupled with a deliciously tranquil shot by Allan Myles in their West Hamptons display home.

Trailer: ‘Wish I Was Here' - July 25

Written by Zach Braff and Adam Braff, directed by Zach Braff, starring Braff, Mandy Patinkin, Kate Hudson, Donald Faison, Jim Parsons, Josh Gad, Joey King and Pierce Gagnon.

There seems to be a very clear straight line from ‘Garden State’ to this. The visuals and themes presented in this mostly visual trailer echo Braff’s first effort, but take a step forward to expand upon it. The Shins song (obviously) goes a long way in setting this up as well. All that said, your mileage may vary depending on how you feel about Braff.
