first step towards reboot has been taken - reedited all my icons so that zoē’s skin looks the colour that it is - i found that the filter i was using tended to lighten her skin + i didnt want to be doing that so. yes, that’s done now
url decision for when i reboot - POLL
so here’s the thing; i dont know what to do. i have a lot of replies drafted right now, and i have muse for none of them. i’m not sure if any of you are super into paying attention to this account, but im thinking about dropping all of my current threads (and i mean all of them) and starting over. re-booting my verses, changing up the writing style a little bit, cleaning things up. thoughts, anyone?

i....hated the beyond trailer i dont know if it was because of the music, or because of the lack of any sort of storyline, or just the general not-trekness of it all but. god, i hope it’s better than the trailer is making it out to be
Things I Want to Read About
Shore leaves where:
The schedules get all mixed up and Spock and Bones hang out all day in Snarksville on Planet Smartass in the Sassmaster Quadrant
Spock argues that they have perfectly serviceable quarters on the ship, Nyota argues for a hotel room anyway (and wins because of course she does)
A bunch of ensigns see them at breakfast the next morning at the place down the street with awesome pancakes and the Lieutenant seems awfully smiley and the Commander seems awfully relaxed, but they can’t say anything because, you know, super incredible hearing and toilet cleaning duty
Jim can go about three hours without being around his crew before getting lonely (actually about 15 minutes but he can be adult… ish about it)
Bones grumbling about wanting some peace and quiet and a break and some goddamn time alone, Jim, but has never spent a shore leave without Jim right there, except for that time with Spock, which he’ll swear up and down was horrible to anyone who will listen and a lot who won’t, and the more he says it the fewer people believe him
Spock and Jim picking up the bar tab when the crew goes out because Jim loves his crew and Spock finds it logical to ensure that it not only get paid but that he mitigate any… unforeseen circumstances with a substantial gratuity (he’s seen Nyota and Jim when they’re hammered, not to mention the rest of the bridge crew)

Nyota and Jim telling everyone the story of the night they met every single time they’re at a bar even though everyone’s already heard it before. Multiple times. And can recite it along with them.
Spock schooling everyone in pool. And darts.
McCoy asking Nyota to dance because it will piss Spock off but of course it doesn’t because she loves it and has a great time and that smile she gets will never and can never cause Spock to be upset
McCoy handing out hypos in the morning
McCoy telling everyone that they’re adults they’re not cadets and goddamn it Jim, you’re not as young as you used to be, of course it hurts worse in the morning than it used to
Nyota and Spock letting everyone think they’re going to that museum, the boring one, but you know, they did get that hotel room
The mad rush to not be late and those ensigns didn’t mean to be, it was just that thing with the tentacles and the slime and they really didn’t know, sir, at all, and Jim lets them beam back up ahead of him because he loves his crew and yeah, Spock might still make him take all those Gamma shifts for being late back from leave, but it’s not like McCoy won’t stay up with him and it’s not like Spock won’t wander onto the bridge halfway through the night because seriously, when does that guy sleep, and it’s not like Nyota won’t show up with two cups of coffee a couple hours before Alpha shift because she just uploaded the pictures they took at the bar and Spock doesn’t see the point in looking at them if they were all present when they were taken, which is just totally missing the point of why you take pictures on shore leave to begin with
