do you think the song brother my brother by blessid union of souls fits soren and kludd's relationship in guardians of ga'hoole so well?

In the movie? Yeah, I guess (tbh, I don’t really remember what their relationship was like there)

In the books? I don’t think so

Something I find interesting about the relationship between Soren and Kludd in the first book is how they never really interacted much beyond their scuffles, which partly meant for me that their future confrontations didn't have much emotional impact beyond the initial shock of the revelation—there really wasn’t anything positive between the two brothers.

However, I find it interesting to interpret their brotherly relationship as something more one-sided on Soren’s part, like, he’s aware that there was never any room to strengthen their bond, yet when he really thinks about it, he wishes he could have had a friendlier relationship with Kludd. For someone who had such a big impact on his life, he can’t think of a single good moment with him. But anyway, I’m getting into headcanon territory here.

On other news, I've been reading Guardians of Ga'Hoole for the first time and I liked it very much, I think Kludd and Nyra are very interesting even if they barely have any appearances as a "couple"

I only knew about Ga'Hoole because of the movie and I didn't expect Nyra's grooming to Kludd to intensify so much in the books. I would have really liked to see their relationship explored more in them tho

I'd like to talk about my interpretation of them, but right now I have no idea how to put my thoughts into words 🔥
