I can understand why it left some people feeling frustrated or unsatisfied but I liked it personally even if it felt a bit rushed. Denji was stuck in a never ending cycle of pain and self harm and he needed someone who loved him to step in and break the cycle for him. It might not be satisfying for people who want to see the main character become a better person through their own effort, but thats never really been what csm’s about anyway. In reality we are shaped by the situations we’re in and the people that surround us, and lots of people who are stuck in abusive or exploitative situations (be it interpersonally, economically or whatever), addiction, etc. find it impossible to ever lift themselves out of that hole without a support system, I think you can see this in all of Denji’s relationships
As for ppl who think it’s like an ass pull “none of this even mattered” ending … idk what to say to that lol if it matters either way then I think it makes more sense that Pochita experienced some kind of rebirth as an intrinsic part of Denji, like if the timeline literally reset to him never existing then Denji would just be dead in like the first 3 panels of ch232😭 idk I didn’t take it super literally or think too hard about how it was supposed to work so I was surprised that was a sticking point
