1. Do they actually love love each other? Has it changed over time?

yeah. they love each other like crazy and it's only gotten worse. other feelings have gotten stronger through, like insecurity and resentment. their relationship would be healthier if they loved each other half as much.

2. Is their relationship toxic or unhealthy in any way?

they are so unstable. hot and cold. gin pulls ronan closer when they're stressed and ronan pushes gin away until one of them snaps. it always ends up with gin pulling away, in one way or another and trying to hurt him in return. they fight a lot. ronan never begs him to come back but he needs him just as bad as gin needs ronan. neither of them apologise for it— ronan starts acting normal again and gin quickly forgives and forgets. hate sex makeup sex. rinse and repeat. they never break up because they were never official in the first place, but they might as well be by now.

3. In what ways are they good and bad for each other?

gin keeps him grounded and from falling off the deep end. ronan (ironically) gives him security. well, both of them really. no matter how bad and evil they are to each other, they'll never leave. like trying to separate mold from a rotten fruit.

4. Is there someone else who would be a better partner for either of them?

charles or milan are better for gin, honestly. at least then he'll have a life outside of his partner. literally anyone outside of the main cast though.

5. Is the relationship living up to their initial expectations?

neither of them had expectations lol

6. What made them become a couple? What keeps them together?

sex. for both. they make each other feel wanted

7. Is there anything that could have kept them from ending up together?

if gin cared about his dreams a little more. if he hesitated with ronan at all. if ronan hesitated with gin. they both did this without thinking

8. What would it take for them to break up?

ronan giving up on him. he never would btw. on gin's end, if he allows charles to be his manager and pursues his own successful career and makes friends unaccquainted with ronan. he hasn't been seen as more than ronan's partner in years. but where's the fun in that?

9. How do they feel about each other's exes and people who flirt with them? Is jealousy an issue in general?

ronan is jealous, gin is insecure. ronan gets possessive and asserts himself very quickly whenever gin gets flirted with. gin doesn't flirt to make ronan jealous as much as he believes, but he tries to brush it off. he knows gin is his, but it's... you know. gin gets quiet and insecure and pushes ronan away and it gets even worse when ronan doesn't notice. he cries to get attention.
