A knight goes on a quest to evade fantasy taxes.

Inspired by the rb'd post! A knight, after a long, ardous journey to defeat the rabid tyrannical monsters, finally have the luxury to go back to their hometown. They were only barely fifteen when they left to persue their calling, and upon seeing it again, it was beyond what they imagined. That small, quiet village had already turned into a large, bustling capital, with noblemen riding their steeds gallantly, houses piling on the hills, minstrels and bards singing and ajousting, nothing was the same as they remembered. Heck, they can't even find their old home anymore! Vexed, the knight visits the lord/king out of respect, hoping that he was at least as prosperous as his city, his throne was already squeaking from the cracks underneath his enormous figure. Despite being thankful for the knight's service, there was one thing that felt off. The royal financial minister steps up with a long scroll in hand. "You owe the city approximately a million gold in taxation." Yeah. No. Fuck that. Now, despite having escaped the castle and the guards out of pure luck and skill, they sit alone in the darkness of the woods, warmed by a small fire, as a small warm dot echoes merrily in the distant castle town on the hill. The rest of the story is yours to decide!! :D
