Hi hi, surprisingly lots of my posts were flagged because of this little guy! I submitted them for review, but I wanted to update where I will be posting for those who have decided to quit tumblr and go elsewhere:

I finished the first draft for my thesis and I’m still chugging along! This MFA program has been somewhat isolating in terms of me being active and engaging with all the artists I love! Because of that, I had been in the process of creating another art account on twitter (I have slowly been getting into risography, so monoclecat meets risocat lol) so I thought I’d share it and start following people on it :)

Once my thesis is done, I plan to post more of this “lewd” boy and his story, so if you have been following me for a while and were always curious about who this boy who smokes all the time is, I’ll be posting more content soon :)

Howdy strangers! I finally finished all my required courses for my MFA program. The last thing I’ll need now is my thesis and final critical piece. Because I am in a kid lit program, you basically write a book for your thesis. I had other options, like picture books, graphic novels and what not, but I chose this one: an illustrated middle grade fantasy novel! It’s about 3 brothers who make poison as a business :) I kept worrying that it would be too dark, but my classmates, advisors and professors didn’t seem to mind when we had text critiques.

I made this kinda experimental bookplate to see how I imagined the style of my story! Right now, the text is halfway complete, and then I’ll start on illustrations!

After I finish, I’d love to finally post a story publicly. Like a weekly web serial with illustrations! I have a few ideas of which story I want to tackle, as I have a few, but maybe I could like post a poll with premise/plots? That would be fun.

hey y’all! after receiving a couple of notices that mobile users were having a real hard time reading the comic on their phone due to tumblr’s forced mobile layout, I decided to also host the comic on TAPASTIC! 

all three chapters have been uploaded, and chapter 4 will be updated every other week in four-page batches. 

no worries though- I’ll still be posting 2-page updates every saturday here, too!
