there are so many funny posts in this world i want them all on my blog like stamps in a passport. look atthe funny things ive seen. its awesome
Shane is not team mom and conversely Ilya is not team dad. They’re very clearly the gay uncles who have control of the planning and vibes of the situation, consummate meddlers of the highest degree. No parental energy towards the team. However ✋👉 Bood, guy with the grill and the energy of someone holding a child leash, and Wyatt, with a solid presence and a niche hobby nobody else cares about. Those are mom and dad.
What are we going to do if he comes down here? You can’t let him. Please.

Eddie Diaz 9-1-1 S09E13
9-1-1, Mother's Boy (S09E13)
literally everything is wrong with them
Tommy: I think you’re in love with Eddie, the former owner of this house
Buck: okay first of all Eddie did NOT own this house, he rented it. Second of all, he’s straight
Sheriff: I think you murdered your husband, Evan Buckley
Eddie: okay, first of all he likes to be called Buck. Second of all, I would NEVER murder him
"i've got no qualms about it" meanwhile i'm over here making qualm chowder

Round to the closest year! I couldn't figure out the best way to succinctly communicate, for example, >10 but <=12 in a way accessible to people with varying degrees of comfort with math notation.
I do think that people talking about Buck thinking he's replaceable/spare parts in regard to him trying to sacrifice himself for Eddie are soooort of missing the mark, just by a little a bit. Like I do think there were of course parallels between the Bonnie situation and Buck/Daniel, but I don't think it's as relevant to that moment when he begged them to spare Eddie's life. Remember, up until that point, Buck was fighting hard to get out of there. He had just finished giving a speech about how even though he's not sure how to go on without Bobby, he's figuring it out. I don't think we were at all meant to read his plea for Eddie to be about how Buck feels about himself, but rather how he feels about Eddie. Who among us wouldn't, in that situation, beg for our loved one to be spared at the expense of ourselves? This is a recurring trope in tons of love stories: the "Take me instead!" moment, the "I'll do anything you want, just leave them out of it!" moment. We were meant to read that as romantic, and explicitly so, not a treatise on Buck's self-esteem.
Now, I do have a feeling we'll be delving into Buck's feelings of expendability going forward, given that we know he's going to be hiding whatever it is that's wrong with him, physically and/or mentally coming out of all this. And I do think part of the problem with him feeling expendable is that he doesn't get how important he is to Eddie yet. But I just don't think that was the point of that scene, because I think even if they were two perfectly well-adjusted people who were already in a relationship, that scene would have played out the same way, because no one in that situation wouldn't fight to save the person they love. It wasn't about how little he cares about himself; it was about how much he cares about Eddie.
Eddie and Buck are gonna become some local legend in that town. That gay couple that came into the diner and almost got in a fight with the local boys. Next day one of ‘em ended up in the hospital. Sheriff assumed he killed the other one since you always look at the spouse first. Turns out Bonnie and Earl kidnapped the husband and the other husband broke out of the hospital to look for ‘em. Bonnie almost killed him but the one she kidnapped managed to break out, probably through the power of love, and saved him. I heard they had a son too. Neither of them wanted to leave a kid behind. Anyway. Drive another few miles up the highway and you can see the diner where Bonnie and Earl used to work. That’s where they first saw them and decided to kidnap the one.
imagine loving someone so much that you jump off a bridge so they wont
i just. something about how eddie was called a violent man. and he's not. but he's willing to be, for buck. but buck won't let him be. will throw himself at the gunman to prevent eddie from being shot but also to prevent eddie from having to shoot. eddie diaz is not a violent man, and buck buckley knows this, and will protect him so he never has to be.
