NEW ASSISTANT MANAGER.
Evangeline's wants to welcome aboard new assistant manager, Austin Rutherford. Rutherford has been a part of the Evangels for two years. "Now I officially have eyes everywhere." Bethany Brooks, owner of Evangeline's joked. "Austin has been an amazing team mate and is always there if I need him. I trust him." Bethany said praising Austin's work efforts. Welcome to the team Austin; how about some celebratory burgers?
GOODBYE OLD FRIEND.
We are so sad to finally say goodbye to Walden books; it's past owner Violet Abney, has finally closed it's doors for the last time. "It's been a fun ride but I'm tired." She told us laughing. We want to wish her luck on the future with anything she decides to do, thank you so much Violet for the thirty four years that you kept Walden alive.
IN NEW YORK...
SK Publishing has gotten just the kind of publicity that we were expecting! They are expanding and adding another building in New York which will be all too exciting for the power team of Charles Kennedy and Audrey Sinclaire who run the publishing agency together. Speaking of SK Publishing, please don't forget to pick up a copy of "Healing Faith." from Monroe's very own preacher, August Taylor. Also Taylor has said all proceeds he receives from the book will be strictly donated to Shining Light Baptist Church where he has invited everyone to come and visit. Sunday School for the little ones start at 9:30 and Worship begins at 11:00.
NEW SITES, NEW FUN.
Cooper Construction manager, David Cooper has given a little more information on the new building his crew is working on. "Let's just say...it's going to be fun for everyone." Though it doesn't give much of hint it is one all in the same. "I promise that you're all going to be excited. It's going to be great for everyone." Hinting at the 'everyone' does that mean it's child friendly as well? Only one can guess. We have asked if he has had an estimate time frame of when we might see the building alive and running. "Hopefully within about six or seven months only because there is so much to do." And who is to blame him? With this building opening soon, it will provide more jobs for Monroe citizens.
THERE'S A NEW SHERIFF IN TOWN.
Jackson Waters was elected sheriff today by none other than Monroe's own State Senate, Victoria Rowe. Jackson has been in law enforcement for seventeen years. "And I plan on going for seventeen more," Waters joked telling the paper yesterday morning. So please stop by and welcome him to his new position.
