To answer that requires some body horror and gore below the cut:

I majored in illustration in college and for my senior portfolio I focused on creature design and body horror. I really enjoyed drawing humanoid teeth and maws on fleshy nasty beasts so for a few of my designs the inspiration there was readily apparent.

I don't really do so many monsters nowadays but that's also why I'm called MonsterBrush here.

I also am a bit of a collector of teeth.

So Magni's big, very BIG, like 7ft - 8ft tall. Do you think *it's* big? I think it'd be as long as my forearm and pretty damn girthy too. Like a perfect mix of both?

I guess only Sindri would really know, huh? Some Valkyrie too.

With that said, I think Modi would be more girth than length. He's a big boy too, but in a thick way.

Magni's around 8ft according to the wiki. Now, I've never broken out the ol measurin' tape for it but I guess he's pretty damn big (not that tumblr will ever see that)...

As for Modi... well you know you really shouldn't compare him to his brother all the time... it just isn't fair. He's a perfectly large and respectably sized man in his own right! When he isn't standing in Magni's shadow.

Modi's just a few inches shorter than Kratos, they can look each other in the eye properly. Magni is actually a bit taller than Thor.

Genuinely curious….why is your version of Magni a hoe? Does he like to escape through ✨activities✨ from his crazy family? Or does he see how his own parents are messed up and think he doesn’t want a relationship if that’s what it really is? Just another day of thinking of Magni’s identity crisis

Short answer is: I just like drawing him that way sometimes.

But, to be more serious: I used to consider Magni as a more private character, especially compared to his brother, but I simply could not resist airing some of his dirty laundry. Someone has to.

Magni and Modi are deeply immature, emotionally constipated, childish, and abrasive. Not to mention drunk, violent, and a tad bit... stupid. I keep these traits in the forefront of my mind when drawing/writing them. Everything is a competition for them, including women, of that I have zero doubt. And I genuinely believe that neither of them have the emotional maturity to maintain a serious relationship, let alone a healthy or stable one. They would need to undergo a lot of character development before they could be considered potential romantic partners by anyone sensible in the nine realms.

So relationships for them, the way I interpret it, are fast and fleeting. Very casual. Great way for them to unwind I suppose. (Though if I had to pick, I think Modi is better suited for something more... emotionally intimate. Not that he's managed to accomplish it.)

I can't imagine this has much to do with their parents' relationship, though I have to assume Magni being a literal bastard/born out of wedlock might put a bit of a damper on the idea of Thor and Sif's happy marriage. I think their failures as romantic partners stems more from their brutal and toxic upbringing as a whole.

All this being said I'm sure if Odin wanted to marry the boys off for political favor they'd do it for the All-father, but let's be honest lads, they're Thor's feral warmongering sons...
