Can’t believe it! Feeling numb. Much of this piano part will be seriously reconsidered and percussion added, but I wanted a ‘finished’ product to upload. We made it, Andrew!

Glad I paired back with some impros over the last few days in order to give today and tomorrow my best. Really happy with the ideas in this one. Perhaps the most likely to be moulded into a future piece.

The penultimate piece in this series... I’m beginning to get emotional! But then I remember that I’ve composed over an HOUR AND A HALF of music this month, within this project alone, and I can’t wait to start force-feeding it to the pianists in my life.

November twenty FIFTH. Ha! No actually it was unintentional.

My second and final Mortetti, this one functions like a partner, dare I say Inamourata, to the other, gently exploring ideas the other doesn’t have the stamina to withstand. Where the first is sudden, jerky and abrupt, this one takes its time, lights some candles, and sets out like a little man in a boat on a vast rippling pool. I think I’ve made my point.

November 23rd: a twelve-tone row generator. I planned yesterday to use this to make a different row every day to inspire my compositions for the coming few days. But I lost enthusiasm for that idea. Still, it’s a neat invention.
