Friendly reminder to not punish yourself for creating.
Can you elaborate on what you mean by this?
I have a tendency to beat myself up whenever something I make doesn’t meet my expectations (which is always). The result is that finishing something = bad feelings: I am effectively punishing myself for having created something. The natural reaction to this punishment is an aversion to creation, meaning that my perfectionism is harming me, not only by causing me to despise what I do make and by impeding the creative process, but by attacking even my desire to create.
I’m having some feelings about this post

Entry for the Srmthfg 20th zine. Couldn't focus on this as much as I'd have liked, but was inspired to make this as homage to Ciro's love for comics. He enjoys horror and tmnt so much I thought he'd like seeing his own project depicted similarly. Although, I used too many colors.
my (segmented) zine piece for holy shuggazine!, a celebration for the 20th anniversary of the debut of srmthfg.
this show was a catalyst and a major source of inspiration for my art journey, so it holds a special place in my heart. i'm truly grateful to be a part of this incredible project, and i'm truly grateful to ciro nieli for this incredible show.
My thing for the SRMTHFG Zine
Been waiting to share this but my contribution Holy Shuggazine!, an SRMTHFG fanzine celebrating its 20th anniversary, organized by @netbug009
Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go is my #1 favorite show from my childhood as well as being one of the biggest inspirations for my art. I'm so happy to announce that I got to partake in this project.
Besides the S2 finale, I've always loved the lore-centered episodes, my favorite being Golden Ages. Loved how it introduced Captain Shuggazoom and a past era of the city/planet itself. It was also such a cool callback to classic scifi anime that inspired the show's direction.
For my piece, I wanted do a take on the Demon Beast fight and get into one of my favorite aspects of the later seasons: just how fun the animation becomessss
If you're also a fan of the show, please check this zine out. We've put a lot of love and work into this. Happy 20th anniversary!
