modern AU trash sketch
ok i finished the nasty old thingÂ
hey this one is like a few weeks old but i donât think i ever uploaded it
this did not turn out as well as i had hoped. i had to remove all the background lol
my favorite thing in this world is viking boys being a little disgusted with each other and/or kissing
brought a kiss to the knife fight
enemies to lovers speed editionÂ
Yaâll Edmund Ironside might just be the "Miklagaardâ/Greece for us Vinland Saga shippers - Canute fought him for six months, legit kissed the guy in 1016, and co-ruled England with him for a month before Edmund died due to âmysterious circumstancesâ they referred to each other as âpledged partnersâ
Canute then draped a cape of peacock feathers over his tomb on the anniversary of his death in 1017.
Then in 1020 Canute builds Abbey of St Edmund which becomes the biggest Romanesque church in Northern Europe at the time.
And it turns out in 1032 three years before Canute dies on the anniversary of Edmundâs death, again, he moves Edmundâs remains to his family gravesite where he aims to get buried himself.Â
Canute and Edmundâs bones are currently held in the same box.
I havenât read the manga but is Canute still pretty as an adult? I know he ends up cutting his hair and getting some facial hair but like does it affect is prettiness?
Heâs still pretty if you ask me, but then again I am such a biased person to ask cause I am honestly obsessed with the bastard. Yukimura keeps his long lashes and facial shape, so if you edit off the beard and drew longer hair on top of him heâd look like prologue Canute pretty much - just with the added scar.Â
The guy doesnât even get buffer or taller, he just hides his scrawniness underneath bulky capes.
I recommend reading the manga, some of the best Canute chapters can be found in the next arc! And seeing both him and Thorfinn during their awkward glow-up transition phase is a lot of fun IMO.
The last man Thorfinn ever cut with his father's knife was Canute.
The subtle change from vulnerability in Thorfinnâs expression when Canute and Thorkell leave the room oh my god.
Canuteâs horse has a fringe.
Hell yeah Canute, fling that shade at Thorkell for your bodyguard.
