Maybe an unpopular opinion but, I don't care too much for the new game from what I've seen. The animals are super cute but that isn't enough to make me want to play the game. To be fair I grew up with Save the Homeland and A Wonderful Life so if they did a remake of those 🥰 it'd be amazing. But I feel like the newer games are just a bit... bland. Tree of Tranquility is probably my fav tho. Sorry to go off on a tangent, just my thoughts 😅

Skimming through the Coral Island Twitter and

You have the resources to add multiplayer and mod support and seasonal outfits for every single character and a fucking mermaid kingdom but having a dateable character use they/them was just too much of a reach? Verdant Skies has a non-binary marriage candidate and they had a tiny fraction of your resources.

Also all the original bachelorettes are skinny and able-bodied? For a game which is bragging about bringing more diversity to the farming game sim, they are very specific about what kinds of diversity they care about.

@rapidfur Are they really bragging about diversity?? 😂 Oh boy. And “best we can do” is a really weird way to put it… like they can just admit they didn’t think about it. They have so many marriage candidates, so I mean…

Yeah that's like their whole thing: they are making a more inclusive farming sim. Which it is! Just to be clear I think they are making good choices in many ways. There is way more racial diversity than I have seen in any other farming game except maybe Verdant Skies.

It's just blaming it on lack of resources that really bugs me. Like the game isn't even out yet and you've ALREADY made $1.6 million... it's not a resources issue.
