Anyways hc that Asras irises glow any time he uses magic (proportional to how much he uses) bc it's cool and sexy
Ok so the drawings are shitty but work well enough to get my point across.
Something like this, the glow being a sort of vibrant hot pink against his violet, inspired by both his washi sticker and his reverse cg.
The glow stands out in the dark like left below, and would eventually go to blow out the whole eye like the right.
But canonically we do actually see the full eyes glow out so that's less of a headcanon there.
How I imagine it working is whenever he's using magical energy the corresponding amount of glow comes and fades right when he stops.
So if he was doing something small and quick, the edge of his iris would glow real quick and fade out just as fast. Blink and you miss it. To hide use of magic should he need to he could close his eyes or look away.
Other similar looks in line with canon. Pure white glow and I believe a purple glow was mentioned happening to MC in the end of Lucio's route.
Other eye things relating to magic would be how Morgas look when she uses hers, but it varies. Not going to go into detail on it all here so I can save that for my big magic post. This is fun Asra hc time!
You can see this is an idea I love because I used it for my icon (left). The other two are the sticker and cg I mentioned earlier.
I just think it's cool! And the aesthetic of it fucks! I've always held onto the thought since... It's an idea I've used before in oc stuff before the arcana lmao. It's just dope imo!
