today i cleared the gravel pathway that goes in front of the house, but otherwise will be very happy leaving all the leaves on the ground 🫶🏻 they're an important protective layer for insects and plants and do not belong in plastic bags to be hauled away somewhere whoknowswhat. leave the leaves 🧡

somewhere in the middle of gathering them together i got help from a neighbour, who brought a huge burlap sack and rakes (i was a bit clueless of all the supplies we even have around here) and next all these beautiful maple leaves will be sprinkled around the surrounding forest. 🍂
