Bella holds a distinguished degree in communications from the University of Britechester, where she belonged to the mysterious Order of Enchantment. Though her mother warned her to stay away from Forgotten Hollow, Bella's curiosity about her vampire heritage led her there after college. There she met Vladislaus Straud (newly widowed after his last wife walked into the sun), and took up residence as the newest mistress of Straud Manor. She helps the Straud family maintain a veneer of wealth and respectability through her job as a Charity Organizer.

Enoch was raised by his hacker parents in Evergreen Harbor, then moved to Moonwood Mill after manifesting as a werewolf. He joined the Wildfang pack headed by his cousin Zoya, but soon fell in love with Eden Wolfram, a werewolf from the rival Moonwood Collective. They keep their relationship a secret due to the tensions between the two packs. Enoch makes a living as a video game streamer.
