“Sorry, no I don’t believe we have.” Tyler shook his head. “If I’m being honest you just looked like you could use some company. I hope I’m not interrupting.”

haven nodded. there was still the feeling of familiarity but she could shake it off. “oh! no you’re not interrupting. i come here to get out of the house, mostly,” she chuckled. “company would be nice.”

caroline was sitting out at one of the outdoor restaurants, she was enjoying a little time to herself which was not something she had much of since coming to new orleans. the blonde just finished up a plate of crawfish etouffee and was now working on her wine. she heard someone talking to her, blue hues look up to the other and she shook her head. “no, go ahead. there’s no one joining me so the seat is open.” 

haven chewed her lip as she looked for a place to sit. she hadn’t thought it would be this crowded. she saw a blonde sitting alone and hesitantly approached her. “are you sure? i mean, it’s just....really crowded right now,” she muttered.

Tyler was planning on grabbing something quick to eat then taking a run before meeting Liv later. However, once he saw the girl sitting alone it was like something told him to go say hi. He took the small table next to hers. “Hey, everything alright?”

haven looked up with wide dark eyes and blinked. something about the guy sitting near her seemed....familiar. she offered a small smile and nodded. “oh. yeah just dealing with writer’s block. trying to get some assignments done,” she offered with a nod. “sorry. have we met before or something?”

despite all the many many set backs since moving to new orleans, the office was finally set up, she’d found a new physicians and a nurse practitioner to join the practice, meaning while she was on maternity leave that the office would be able to stay open and establish itself so she’d have something to come back to. hiring support staff was the last detail to getting the place open, and a receptionist was key to that. standing near the receptionists desk filling out some paper work, she turned toward the door when she heard the bell. offering a warm smile, she put out her hand to greet the visitor “yes, we are. i’m dr. elena gilbert, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”

haven smiled. the lady seemed nice, at least. “great. glad to know i’m in the right place. it’s nice to meet you. i’m haven lockwood,” she greeted, trying to stay friendly but professional. she would have to learn all the medical terminology required for the job. but she was hopeful, at least. “i brought my resume. and i don’t have any experience in a medical office but i’m a fast learner and dedicated to making sure everything is right,” she added.

was this the other side he had never seen before? nah, it couldn’t be. that would he have noticed earlier. it scared him to be around these many people again, they were everywhere. he had no idea where to begin, or who to ask where he was. after walking around what felt like several hours, he found a person he could ask all of these questions he had “hello! first i must apologize if i am disturbing you” he started, quickly had to look behind his back when he heard a sound and jumped a little “yes, i am wondering where we are and what year it is” he continued, turned around to face the woman again.

haven was just sitting at her favorite cafe with her laptop out, trying to get her creative writing assignment finished. though, she was having a terrible bout of writers block. she looked up, surprised, when a guy about her age came around asking about what year it was. “uhm, hi. it’s fine. i was stuck anyways,” she admitted softly. “ah. well, we’re in new orleans and it’s ____. are you okay? did someone give you something?” she asked, worriedly.

haven had her nose buried in one of the books she was reading for class as she walked towards one of her favorite cafes to write at when she practically ran into someone. “oh! i am so sorry! i totally wasn’t paying attention!” ( @thejergilbert​ )

haven took a deep breath as she smoothed her dress and held the small resume in her hand. she needed something better than a retail job at minimum wage if she was going to help keep a roof over her and her mother’s head. she entered the office with a small smile. “hi, i saw that your office was hiring for a receptionist position?” ( @drgilbert​ )

haven was sitting at a little cafe trying to get some of her creative writing assignments done. her mom had taken over the house and haven couldn’t stand to be there when one of her customers were there. she ran a hand through her hair, shaking her head of the thoughts ( @lockwxlf​ )
