thinking about mass market paperbacks today
“Life is an ocean of chaos and the realization that you are the one supposed to throw the buoy while struggling to stay afloat is devastating.”
Detachment (2011), dir. Tony Kaye.
march 2026
spent in poor health, unfortunately, but looking towards the brighter side of things. still writing, but reading and watching and listening to things more than before. trying to feel connected to myself and to the world and to people, but i can really only do so much. attempting to eat better too—perhaps that will help with my health, perhaps not. only time will tell. excited by the prospects of spring and the summer months.
James McAvoy & Keira Knightley as Robbie Turner & Cecilia Tallis
Atonement (2007)
things are getting desperate. might need to print out a picture of Malala to stick above my desk soon
having a reconnecting with my former self spring. this is where you reread sally rooney novels and rewatch fleabag and remember that the simultaneously best and worst thing to be is a 17 year old girl.
The moon looks different when you’re happy, I hope you see it tonight and know exactly what I mean.
rare aesthetic moodboard: girl who is sick and rereads normal people and binge watches m. night shyamalan movies and calls it comfort
Unicorn print carved from a 3x4 rubber stamp. I'm quite pleased with how she came out :)
MACBETH at THE DONMAR WAREHOUSE (2023)
i had a dream that hozier wrote a book and it was so good that i had to keep obsessively rereading it over and over again. so much so that my parents began to grow concerned about how much time i was spending reading this one book.
btw i want to say that the entire tumblr community banding together is what got these changes reversed so i hope u all realise the power of a reblog and start reblogging posts instead of just liking them this is the reblog website so hit that button right now
Cinemas should sell DVDs of the movies they're playing as you're walking out. If you liked the movie you could buy a DVD right there on the spot. Wouldn't that be awesome
