headcanon / transformation

     from june to enchantress and back again.  so the process is actually extraordinarily painful and unpleasant by any stretch of the imagination, kind of take the worst and most painful werewolf transformation that media has shown and then imagine that on a sub-molecular level.  it isn’t just a physical or surface reaction / transformation - the primary form / host is literally being torn apart on an atom by atom level and remade / replaced with the form of the other entity between dimensions.  the physical form (or what is left of it while the primary sentience is in control) is basically shunted into this minuscule pocket dimension that only kind of really exists which is fortunate because that means that there isn’t any physical pain for the secondary entity but basically, imagine having your body ripped apart and literally turned inside out via a portal / wormhole / connection that is smaller than a pinprick.  

     the transformation appears quick, taking seconds, but every time it happens it feels like hours or days of torture and leaves both parties feeling wrecked though obviously still capable of functioning and reacting to the world around them (enchantress is far less bothered by these after effects than june is - june can be left physically weakened and exhausted especially depending on how long enchantress was active and whether enchantress was injured and how much energy that enchantress channeled or expelled during the time she was in control).  spiritually, psychically, mentally, the process can be draining as well especially, again, for june, who feels hijacked and understandably traumatized / miserable about the fact that she is forced to share her body and essence with this entity that is ancient, timeless and so very inhuman.  enchantress is typically simply annoyed at the presence and argumentative nature of her host and fluctuates between a reluctant patience that in time she will win out, believing that june will continue to weaken, and an anger at the attempts to control her which result in her acting out much like a bratty teenager rebelling against mommy dearest whenever the opportunity arrives.  (cosmic power... itty bitty living space...)

     there is no actual limit to how frequently or how quickly the duo can transform back and forth.

Diana // June

     Send in a pairing or two, and I’ll tell you if I would ship it.

OKAY WELL.  you asked for it.  short answer?  absolutely 110% hell yes.  now, june would absolutely feel like diana was entirely out of her league, let’s start there, even before she learned about the wonder woman aspect - diana is elegant and strong and beautiful and intelligent and self-empowered and all of these things are traits that june absolutely admires and respects and is drawn to but especially after the ‘incident’ in midway city, june would never feel like she was capable of being an equal or giving diana anything resembling a safe and secure partnership.  she would always be afraid of hurting diana, physically or emotionally even if/when she fessed up about who she was / the spirit of enchantress inside of her etc. she would always worry that enchantress would hurt diana ... now, SOME of this would be assuaged when / if she learns that diana is wonder woman, obviously, being pretty much immortal and a goddess in her own right would mean that diana might be safe physically but june would always worry about enchantress manipulating diana or how diana would feel if enchantress got control again and wreaked havoc on people / hurt people.  

now obviously, the details of this would vary based on verse -- for example in the pirate verse we were talking about, june meeting diana would be at the beginning stages of the possession or before the possession altogether and in a world where june has very much had to basically tell everyone and all social norms to go fuck themselves.  she’s not just a pirate, she’s a woman pirate and everything in the social engineering of that era means that she is rebelling against every moral and social and genetic fiber that exists tbh so; she’d be way more confident as a whole and would have not have the same doubts as a canon post movie june.  that being said, she would probably flirt fairly openly but would never assume a returned interest unless diana made the first move ... but if that was to happen wow, june would be so ecstatic and thrilled.  morality wise, there might be some general conflict because diana is a Good Person and pirate captain / queen june moone is not necessarily an Evil Person but she is selfish and motivated by her desire to learn / which equates to a need for money and power especially in her dangerous line of work, but i honestly see a lot of potential and promise in the pirate verse and in any verse... diana would bring out the best aspects of june in any place and time i think!

Harley/Enchantress

okay so obviously i’m kind of biased on this because i play them both but honestly i think this ship would be SO MUCH FUN?  granted, in most ways, enchantress would just be as toxic if not more so for harley than the joker is - she is selfish and destructive but she can also be ridiculously generous and indulgent and harley’s crazy is exactly the kind of out there crazy that would amuse her and keep her on her toes.  she would i think be more demanding in some ways, and would push harley to be more violent and destructive to the world as a whole than the joker - joker i think kind of just lets the cards fall where the might in terms of harley and what she wants to do - while enchantress would definitely be the kind to point harley in a direction that she wanted a path of destruction, wind her up and set her loose.  but, i think that in a lot of ways harley would be good for enchantress in her own way ???  i think that harley is absolutely crazy but she is also incredibly smart and definitely way more than pretty much anyone ever gives her credit for, and i think that she could definitely help enchantress be more effective in her goals... and maybe less overly destructive, more manipulative and more ... play the long game ?  

i don’t know man there’s just so much potential with these two....
