Rest easy brother, this ones for you
“Family Not Friends”
Christiano, he was family, no exception. I knew him since I was 12. We were best friends and would basically spend almost every day together. His mom and dad would take me with them on their family trips, and my family would do the same for him. November 1st 2018 was the worst day of my entire life, with out a doubt. it was 1:33 AM once i got the call. I was sitting in my dorm room thinking what could one of my Marietta friends want at this time of night. I answered the phone and my friend is balling his eyes out. He then tells me that Christiano had passed at around 6 o'clock on Halloween but he had just figured out. I was so confused with everything at the moment. I even forgot to pack a bag to go home once i left right after the phone call. I was the only person driving on I-16 that night. I was listening to to my “favorites” radio station on spotify, and this song came on. i was so heart broken I had to pull off to the side of the road. If its one thing ive learned in life its keep your friends close but family closer.
The most exciting week week of my life was introduced with this song. It was April of 2018, sunny spring weather. The wind was whirling through the windows as we were cruising down the highway. My friends Austin and Mitchell and I were on our way to our spring break trip. We all loved Corey Smith so I made a radio station for him on my spotify. this was about the 10th song played as we just hit the on ramp for I-75. We listened to it once and then realized that it was our goal to relive this song. Corey Smith keeps repeating how wild his spring break was in this song and from now on my friends and I plan on living out our spring break as wild as we can every year.
First Day Out - Tee Grizzley
This song put a huge movement on mine and my buddy Austins summer. During a car ride to my lake house, Austin was sitting in the front seat. As soon as this song came on his facial expression changed. I never knew something could be so devastating yet make me so proud of someone. i had just found out that in 2 weeks he was going to boot camp for the Marine Corps. we had the most exhilarating year together, and he said that as soon as he graduates boot camp me and him were going to ride out of there in style. i watched his graduation and picked him up, we got in the car and he says “you know what to play!”. As soon as he said that i started blasting this song and we cruised back to Marietta planning our trip filled weekend
Country Road - The Lacs
A little switch up of genre, but the impact this song put on my life is unspeakable. First time I ever listened to this song was with my dad on our way to our hunting property in Butler Georgia. we just hoped off the road cruising down dirt roads. we own about 1500 acres down there, which makes it perfect for a place to get away. After a long hard day of work I would cruise the dirt road land with the rifle sitting by my lap just in case i saw a deer.
This song played the most important role in my fantastic year that I was 16. This was the very first song that i played in the car once I drove by myself. I am what some people consider an audio junkie, so I had the best sound system in the whole county! I started working on the sound system in my car as soon as I heard this song. A few days and almost a thousand dollars later I was pulling into the school parking lot blasting this song through the speakers. Everyone was looking at me as if the music was so loud that it was playing through their own headphones.

My freshman year is the year my friends and I found this song. I cant relate to anything particular in this song, but it does play a semi major role in my life. Every single day, i know every day seems like a lot, but it’s true. Everyday after school my freshman year, my friends and I would walk to our closest baseball park and blast this song as we hit fly balls into the empty stands.
This song was a major part of my life through middle school. During my 7th grade year my parents fought a lot with my brother. It seems that every time my brother had a fight with my dad he would leave the driveway blasting this song. I would play this song multiple time threw-out the days he would be gone. My friends would always supports me and we would always go play basketball blasting this song on the speakers.
Crank That- Souja Boy
If you didn’t listen to this song at least once a day back when you were younger, you weren’t able to talk to the cool kids. This song has a big impact on my younger years of my childhood. Me and my brother first listened to the song in 2008, and then we decided that at my elementary school talent show that my friends and I were going to do the dance to it on our last day of school in 5th grade.
