the thing about elias callum is that haoyu is never sure whether or not they're cross with him. their brows dip low, lips pulling into a thin line when they catch sight of his silhouette by the fire. "where have you been?" it's equal parts concern and irritation. "for your sake, i hope you've not been causing trouble."

while the thought should’ve frightened him–it excites him for some reason. Maybe, just maybe he can use this situation in his favor. His thoughts were pulled away when he heard a familiar voice, looking at haoyu to regard his presence before his eyes watched the fire burn. 

“were you worried about me?” he asked, “i wanted to but instead, the folks from the sea stole the show.”

( oh sehun , genderfluid , he/they ) — as the demons pour out of the sea LEVIATHAN makes their way to the shore, a six thousand year old creature who appears thirty. here with their feet planted on cynefin’s soil, it is images of the calm sea before a storm, cries of birds, the mystery of the unknown, and devastation after tsunami that flood the minds they touch. some may even say that they are attentive and honest, but it matters little that they are tied by a sorcerer’s contract — they remain unabashedly callous and apathetic. beware, for demons are never truly kind.

ii. summary.

they are known by many names throughout their lifetime. leviathan is mostly known as the primordial sea serpent that embodies the sin of envy, one of the princes of hell and its gatekeeper. 

this time, they adapt their form to mimic the shape of a human, and the hunt for food starts now. 

envy gazes up to the divine (sky), the brightness of the sky feels like a mockery to him who dwells in the abyss, never experienced what “warmth” is. 

soon, he swore in the calmness of the sea, when all creation is mine alone, its life will only know envy, jealousy, spite, and pain, just as i have.

disappointment

the first emotion he felt when he stepped afoot on the shore, the sand digging down his feet. while the rest of the demons march onward, levi takes a moment to relish the feeling of being out from the depths of the abyss, breathing the salty air from the sea and the thunderous rumble when the waves hit the shore. 

so this is how it felt to live on land, how envious. 

well, there isn’t much time to relish the thought. this is a new conquest, and that alone is enough to bring a thrill underneath his skin. as other demons spread, levi decides to observe the humans and learn their movements and reactions. though there’s one thing that he noticed, 

what are those fabrics that they wear?  

iii. abilities.

DEMON CONTRACT.  in exchange for their life, levi will do as the contractor orders. of course, they will never gain the upper hand over levi. giving a false sense of power and control, levi feeds on his master’s desire and wishes in return, he will be their everything. until the time has come to enjoy his harvest. 

CONTROL OVER PRIMORDIAL WATER. those who come from the sea have the power to control water, its movement and temperature. 

FLIGHT. pretty self-explanatory

TRANSFORMATION. to manipulate own’s appearance– in this case; human and demon form. 

AQUATIC LIFE MANIPULATION. control over the life that dwells underneath the ocean (not including the demons).  ENHANCED PHYSIOLOGY. as a demon, he's much more stronger, durable and faster than any humans

ii. brief background.

an orphan without a name, adopted by regis callum when he was five due to his wife, irene, unable to conceive a child. 

realizing the tough competition between the siblings, he was threatened with being sent back to the orphanage should he not meet his parents' expectations. eventually, he overcompensated and excelled in every subject 

amazed by his perseverance, his father promised him to be the sole heir of his textile company which soon branches out to cynefin. 

there, the callum family became the pioneer in cynefin’s textile industry by providing cheap materials and resources that broke the industry’s market. 

growing up with peers and acquaintances due to his father’s influence in cynefin. he couldn’t connect with anyone as their intentions were clear: receive the callum family’s fortune by befriending him. 

yet he couldn’t shake off the darkness settling in his heart whenever he saw other children’s interactions with their parents. 

met dante masoe, amused by his stubbornness, they both grew up together as enemies more than friends.
