sorry for another donation post but this should be the last one for a while if everything goes to plan

so i get paid via chapter 35 dependent benefits, which require me to be in class to be paid. i’m currently taking a gap semester as i failed a few classes last semester due to mental health and being harassed by the dorm staff causing me not being able to attend classes and therefore lost my scholarship for fall semester. if i attend class again i can petition it and get it back, but for right now i have to get a student loan to pay off my bursars. the problem is, my credit score is currently incredibly poor solely due to my credit debt. everything else is perfectly fine and if i can get my debt paid off i can get a loan and go back to class and be paid again

my credit debt is $800 bucks (yeah it’s incredibly low, i only have two cards. i’m just really broke)

so to give a bit more context, if we are able to get our debt situation figured out, we will be able to

- get new shoes because our current ones look like this

- get tater tot spayed finally, which is important because rabbits will develop uterine cancer eventually if not spayed

- get our name and gender legally changed finally and stop having ourselves outted

this post is getting basically zero traction because the same few people keep reblogging it meaning it doesn’t get out of my own fanbase( if you look at the reblogs on this you may notice all of them are just reblogging it from me) meaning everyone’s annoyed because i have to reblog this post more (which i hate doing) and i continue to not be not in class

If your pet has a surgery, and is sent home with a "cone of shame"... LEAVE THE FUCKING CONE ON.

We did not put that cone on to torment your pet. We put that cone on so that your pet's insides stay inside. Yes, I know they're running into things and look very very sad. I am not being heartless when I say "I don't care. The cone stays on." I'm trying to keep your pet safe.

We've had 5 different clients take the cone off "for just a minute" in the last 2 weeks. One incision we were able to restaple. One we knocked out to resuture, which the owner had to pay for. Two we are currently managing as open wounds because the owners took the cone off a second time.... and one had to go to emergency to have her guts put back into her body after they were dragging on the bottom of the crate ("but it seemed uncomfortable to sleep in...")

In the VERY VERY RARE occasion that you need to temporarily take the cone off for the pet to eat or drink properly you must be actively staring at your pet the whole time the cone is off. Not just in the same room. Not on your phone. Not cooking. Not "turned around for a moment". Actively staring like you're a little kid who just found the most fascinating bug to ever cross your path.

Until your vet says otherwise, your pet is a Mandalorian, a Child of The Watch. The cone STAYS ON.
