Moonlight Mischief Rodentry

I am breeding rats and mice to improve health and temperment in Woodburn, Oregon! This blog is a place for me to put pictures of my rats and their babies, and potentially to sell custom bin cages. PET rats and mice are presently only available to individuals with previous rat experience on a case by case basis, as very few of them meet my high temperment standards for pet homes at this time! However, feeders will soon be available, so please feel free to inquire about them! I will update this information when I have pet quality babies available :3

Of the babies who are now 5 weeks old- but this is a very active stage and they're all trying to flood out of the bin... so the cute cuddling photos are over for a while 😂

Three new babies in the Rattery this last week! These 3 are two of my absolute favorite types, one of my first rats was one or the other of them - I wasn't sure which at the time 😅

2 Siamese bucks - Si and Am - the very curious twins in the cage ❤

And a Himalayan doe - Sammy - hiding in the pocket of my hoodie ❤

Very excited to start working on my Siamese and Himalayan lines!!!

I'm going to be selecting exclusively for temperment in the first 4 or 5 generations. After that, I'll cross a pair of really dark, self black rats into the line- to bring out and darken their nose and tail points, and to take the white feet and nose markings out of the line ❤ ❤ ❤

Mom is black

Dad is agouti

Interesting babies, maybe agouti and pearl...? 5 of each color, 3 boys 2 girls for each color xD

Mama likes symmetry apparently xD

Albino, standard ear, standard fur sire

Variegated, beige?, dumbo ear, rex fur dam.

The standard fur baby is a female, curious but runs from me, haha

The rex fur baby is male and doesn't really run from me, but is far more skittish than his sister.
