verso’s draft is so fucking adorable oh my god the sketches;;but i wonder why can i find a bottle of wine there lmao

the party taking the ride is such a fun way that truly made their personality shine!

just when i was thinking why maelle is fine with being on the ride (since she has vertigo) she started puking lmao

why is monoco holding onto the seat???

feel really bad for verso as he was thinking about the memories from real verso that were forcibly grafted onto him by aline. in the part of the canvas painted by real verso without being tainted by other members of the dessendre family. damn.

the final boss fight is so funny yet sad

the cutscene following osquio’s defeat is so freaking cute yet when osquio said verso wouldn’t be a successful musician, and that he would be forced to painted is so sad! remember that was painted by a CHILD. and the fact that osquio is said to be the root of all evil in this world says a lot about real verso’s biggest fear as a child.

it also didn’t help that when painted verso ended the fight by saying it’s fun to experience this fight on his own (instead of just memories given by aline)

i think the entire DLC is fun and cute on the outside but there’s still a sense of looming dreadfulness underneath all that colours and childish cutesy stuff.

cause i was using goofy outfits for side content but forgot to switch back to their normal fit for the serious stuff. i know i’m supposed to feel sad but i couldn’t help laughing during the entire cutscene. imagine getting beaten up by a group of bald eggs carrying baguettes on their back…

just got to e33’s ending and this is the game i’ve cried the most for so far…just wanted to write down my feelings somewhere so spoilers obviously.

i went with maelle’s ending at first, since i think her life as alicia is too miserable without a voice, with a sister and mother who resent her for verso’s death — if i were her i’d definitely rather waste my life away in a world with my loved ones although it screws renoir over by leaving him with an even more broken family (and at the cost of child slavery LOL rip real verso’s piece of soul)

but seeing painted verso pleads to die, maelle bringing back gustave, sophie, pierre etc., and even making verso perform against his wish is so…dystopian. what’s the difference with having the paintress out there “painting death” (though we now know it’s not her doing) and maelle manipulating lives, playing god in the painted world? so naturally i went back and chose verso’s ending. lune’s reaction made me so sad though (especially after she kissed verso?!??!!)

i wish there’s an ending that let painted verso die as he wants, and for maelle to move on from her grief and live as alicia again while preserving the painting somewhere so everyone else could live. but without the painting destroyed i don’t think maelle’d be willing to move on and return to her life as alicia.

i think the twist is somewhat predictable in a sense you could piece together that maelle, verso, the paintress, renoir and the masked girl/painted alicia are all related but not in a sense that some of them are mere “copies” of the real ones.

it just makes me sad that the painted world is doomed from the start.

going back to the last save for side content AFTER the ending hurts a lot
