Played the first three chapters of MK1 (2023) today. I can definitely say I'm so intrigued.
First of all, Raiden's so fucking different compared to MK11 (I have MKX/10, but I haven't played it yet. JUST Mk11.) But it's kind of a good different?

Valko x reader, bit of a hurt/comfort, established relationship… ~wc 540
“When I was little and wandering in the wild, I didn’t have a blanket, so I used my tail to cover myself.”
Valko meant it as a passing comment, really. A fun trivia about his tail. A tidbit of memory that surfaced while helping you fold the big fuzzy blanket you had just shared for movie night.
But you paused mid-fold, and turned to look at him with a frown.
Wandering in the wild? When he was little? Without anything…? How could that happen?
You thought of a much younger Valko, all alone in a dangerous forest at night.
Probably muddy, hungry, and shivering from the harsh wind.
Exhausted and leaning against a tree, curling around himself before hugging his tail.
“Babe?” He tentatively called, observing you.
Your lips quivered. Gaze looking elsewhere as you tried to dodge his inquisitive eyes.
“Hey now, are you—” concerned, he sets the throw blanket away and comes closer to gently cup your face, guiding you to turn back to him. “Are you feeling sad for me?”
Your eyes finally meet his, and he sees the sheen of tears that has started to gather in them.
He presses his forehead to yours. He understands your sincerity. You’re always so sweet to him. He vows to keep your tender heart safe.
“There is no need,” he says in a low voice, thumbs caressing your cheeks as he coaxes you. “That was a long time ago. I’m fine. Didn’t mean to make you sad.”
You huff, burying your face into his chest as you wrap your arms around his torso. “You must have felt frightened.”
He says nothing, just slowly runs his hand over your hair.
“I’m going to build a time machine.” You mumble into his shirt.
You feel the vibration on his chest as he chuckles. “And come find me?”
“Yes. I’ll be younger too. I’ll bring a blanket. And a flashlight. And a tent. And some food.”
He hums. “And a gallon of my favorite chocolate milk?”
That gets you to smile. “Silly.” You squeeze around his waist. “We’ll make it a fun camping night. Play games, count the stars. And when daylight comes, I’ll bring you to your family.”
He kisses your forehead, then nuzzles into your hair. “Thank you, my love. I would have been thrilled to meet you back then.”
He sits down on the couch, leading you to sit sideways on top of him, then lets out his tail to drape over your legs. You giggle, leaning on his chest as you gently brush your hand over his fur.
He regales you with other tales of his childhood, making sure to mention happy memories and exaggerate his mischievous moments. Until he feels your breathing start to even out.
Valko carefully lifts you up and carries you to bed, sliding under the covers with you. He turns to look at your face for a while, before finally settling in to hold you close for the night.
He dreams of that forest again, and sees his younger self. But this time, the small werewolf is happily following a little firefly that chose to stay and light his way. “We’ll be just fine, bud.” He says behind them, the weight of this memory feeling much lighter.

In China, "under the PRC Civil Code, companies have a legally protected reputation. If a news outlet, blogger, influencer, or another company publishes false statements that damage a company's reputation, the company can file a civil lawsuit." We have to trust in the fact that Infold's legal department is mobilizing.
To my understanding, DO NOT MOVE TO CN APPS. Their media (RedNote, Weibo, etc) is highly controlled. We have the best chance of success on our own apps (X, Instagram, Threads, Facebook, etc.) We are already trending on X.
Our goal is to flip the narrative. Show why they are incorrect. Prove that they're spreading misinformation about Valko and LADS. We bring the receipts. What they printed, next to what's verifiably true. Keep it straight-forward, to the point, and undeniably factual.
This cannot be rushed—it could backfire immensely. We cannot go against their government because it could negatively affect the CN players. The problem needs to be highlighted as “a danger to the positive view of China” from foreign players.
From a user on X: Bringing the importance of Chinese culture and tradition abroad, is the key part of all of this. It is our only leverage. We need to mention our only wish is for the company to keep being able to spread Chinese culture. We need to show them how we engaged with Chinese culture, and the charity we did in the name of the character we wish to have back, so that the company can continue.
This is vital, but it is delicate. Don't hesitate to message me here or on X if you need guidance. I will still be updating you as I get more information.

Okay, let me explain really quick. I had multiple people messaging me regarding the removal of the "coming soon" message. Bless @captain-ponytail for being the first to send me proof.
Now, I'm going to be honest with you. I freaked, I caved, and I got on the game myself to go through all of the Valko details we had prior to this update. Crucify me if you must, but I needed cold, hard, verifiable proof. My boycott officially restarts now.

On this note from the lovely Cairo, Valko's song is still on Spotify [U.S. Hunter here], and it's number one (see ss below)! We can't lose hope. As many have stated, alongside Cairo, them scrapping an entire character would be stupid. Hopefully they're not THAT stupid.
And I just want to say: thank you, Cairo, for spreading the facts of what we do and don't know, and lifting everyone's spirits! Valko is or course, like all the other LIs, just pixels. However, many of us have found some kind of kindred spirit in him. He may not be real, but he's in our hearts. We can not lose hope, faith, bravery, or courage. We must fight on, until the end, my friends.
Hey idk if you heard but the ipetitions Valko petition lost thousands of signatures and some are saying it's bc people didn't verify their email after signing. If that is the case I was hoping you'd be able to help get the word out please and thank you 🙏🥺

Well, unfortunately (fortunately?) I don't have much to share as of right now. It's officially 7/8/2026 in China, but no update from Infold yet. With BW on the 10th and the 6.0 version update scheduled for the 9th, I want to assume that they'll HAVE to say something soon.
The goal right now is just to KEEP POSTING. Spam the ever-loving fuck out of Infold. I'm on X non-stop just reposting and replying to other supporters. Hopefully I will have some actual news for you later.

CN players' protest is different than ours. They need to raise the rating in their app stores, and we need to continue to lower ours. Both sides need to emphasize that LADS helps international players appreciate Chinese culture.

Not sure when to expect a statement from Infold. They'll be inactive on the 7th, and Bilibili World starts on July 10th and ends on the 12th. LADS will be participating in it. We may not hear anything concrete until the 13th. Fingers crossed for the 8th.
Keep fighting! Antis worked for seven days to get Valko's release cancelled. We have to continue to make noise in order to be louder than them. Many companies will wait out protests for a few days to see if they fizzle out.
Don't lose hope! We're making a HUGE impact!
Please remember that this boycott is not just about Valko. The CN fans deserve an apology for the 731 incident, global fans deserve recognition, we need more MC customization options for darker skin tones—there are a lot of issues involved.
