I think one of the reasons I enjoy the Durge/Astarion pairing so much (specifically the resist Durge/Spawn Astarion) is because there's something about Astarion calling out to every god for centuries with no answer only for the rejected child of the god of murder to come crawling out of the pits of hell like "Yes, hello, I love you so much we should undoom our narratives together"
