I've mentioned before that Elenna is not a very hard character to ship with; she's open to at least trying and seeing where it goes more often than not as long as she likes the other person, and she's happy with casual or serious. But what she is NOT likely to do is get married. Some would call that a fear of commitment, but it isn't really. She doesn't mind being in a committed monogamous relationship, and she certainly wouldn't cheat. It's more that she has a very strong aversion to belonging to anyone else, even just symbolically, and she associates marriage with that. That's not just a turn off, it genuinely frightens her. Possessiveness is the easiest way to kill a relationship with her instantly. If marriage was important to someone with her, they would have to convince her it came with absolutely none of that. No one lays claim to Elenna except herself.

Her joy confounds him, just as much as her explanation. A place where weather is controlled? It sounds terrible, but perhaps not in the same way she would think. He cannot imagine what Matrons would do with such incredible power at their fingertips. He pulls the hood of his piwafwi over his head. It is far from waterproof, but it makes him feel better.

"It does not rain underground, but I still do not see the benefit of jumping in puddles. You are going to be a shivering, wet, filthy mess afterwards," he warns, and takes her hands with the intent to pull her out of the rain.

She seems wholly unconcerned by his warning. “Oh, Dalamus, if you spend life avoiding a little discomfort you will miss out on all the best parts of it!”

As he takes her hands, she completely misinterprets his intention and gleefully pulls him forward, then proceeds to lose her balance and drag them both down into the increasingly large pool of rainwater with a surprised shriek. Now hopelessly sopping wet, as she sits up she does not seem to have lost any of her good mood in spite of this; in fact, she breaks down laughing so hard it sounds as if she has lost her mind.

“Sorry!” She manages to squeak out, followed by the laughter becoming even worse.

I, a vegetarian, am currently making cat safe fried chicken. Never let it be said I don't love that little bugger

My cat unfortunately has to be on a longer course of powerful antibiotics for a recurrent infection (this is probably why her blood sugar numbers have been so ridiculous lately as it turns out. We thought we'd finally kicked this but we were wrong 😒) and the drugs are making her a little queasy, but she doesn't seem too upset about it because her loss of appetite means she gets to eat her favorite fucking carby junk food kibble lol
