It’s a weird day. On one hand, I’m relieved. This show was drawn out and brutalized and it’s finally over. On the other hand, it’s sad. This show meant a lot to me, and it was one of my favorites.
You’re allowed to be sad. You’re allowed to be relieved. No matter what happens tonight, and what happened this season, the show is still ours. Fuck what J. Rot says. He may have ruined canon, but that’s not what the show is. The show is how we’ve all agreed that Bellamy would be a huge history nerd and a teacher. It’s the belief that Murphy and Clarke would somehow be best friends. It’s bellarke. It’s clexa. It’s linctavia. It’s Murven and Princess mechanic and Flarke and mackson. This universe and story and these characters are so much more than the tv show they originated on. (I know they’re from the book but the show is so different). This doesn’t end tonight, only J. Rot’s control ends tonight.
The friends I’ve made in this fandom are more important to me than what happens on screen.
May we meet again.
(But not you, Jason. You can sit in the corner and think about what you’ve done.)
