Okay i need to yap more about the stf:rm songs.
To preface i dont hate any of these songs, the only one i outright dislike is 'We're royal heroes' cause its really ear grating, but the rest of them are all okay.
So the songs are all very pop. Theyre very loud and in your face and the intrumentals are all really intense compared to the more relaxed guitars of the original.
They're also all really fast, like og sofia songs are noticably slower and more calm but these ones go at a mile a minute sometimes.
I think songs like "we have to be friends" and "my brilliant little sister" could have benifited from being slower paced.
Also, speaking of "my brilliant little sister" the timing is so weird to me? Like especially at the end part when hes saying "youre just as brilliant as your- no, youre twice as brillaint than your no-" Its just like the song keeps going when it feels like it should have ended.
Also, Elena, Sofia and Rapunzels main intruments are ALL guitars so it baffels me why their song together doesnt have backing guitars? I feel it wouldve fit alot better.
I just think that Sofia's music was so original and nice to listen to and the new ones are so loud and overwhelming compared to the old ones. They all stood out despite most of them being backed by a single guitar and the new ones all just kind of mesh together despite having alot of different kinds of instruments behind them. The new ones all sound really repetitive too.
