I went a little off prompt with this and basically just ended up with that scene from unnatural history but worse and with academy students

“Oh come on, don’t tell me you haven’t heard of the Doctor.”

“Of course I’ve heard of him, everyone has. You know we have to learn about all the past presidents.”

“Yeah, but you don’t know anything about him.”

“Am I supposed to?”

“He’s one of Gallifrey’s most infamous renegades, how can you not know things about him?”

“Because I’m more worried about not failing quantum engineering, which you’re also supposed to be studying for by the way.”

Carin rolled their eyes and then stood up to wave at someone. “Sela, over here. Did you know Tex doesn’t know anything about the Doctor?”

“Anything is an exaggeration. I know he was president, and that he brought a human to Gallifrey.”

“That’s literally just what we’re taught in class, anyone who wants to pass history knows that.”

“It is a bit weird that you don’t know anything about him,” Sela said as she joined them. “Have you been living under a rock or something? That one guy in cosmic studies won’t shut up about him, it’s kind of an unavoidable subject.”

“Maybe I actually pay attention in that class instead of gossiping like you two.”

Carin sighed, “you’re no fun. Come on, you have to have heard something.”

“He likes to travel with humans?”

“Everyone knows that,” Sela said. “I heard though that he hypnotizes them into coming with him, and then makes them fight monsters for him.”

“Well I heard that he travels with them because his mom was human and he wants to learn about their culture.”

“Mom?” Tex asked.

“Yeah,” Carin said. “Like the person who gave birth to him, apparently he wasn’t Loomed.”

“That’s gross.”

“I know, but that’s what makes it cool.”

“No, no, that’s not right,” Sela said. “He was definitely Loomed. But something weird happened and he got some biodata from outside of his House’s gene bank which is why he’s so weird.”

Carin shrugged. “I guess I’ve also heard that one. But I also heard that he has a brother, how can that be possible if he wasn’t loomed?”

“Maybe his whole existence is paradoxical,” added Tex. “Maybe both are true and his timeline is just super messed up.”

Carin laughed. “Now that’s just ridiculous."

“Not any more so than him being from a different universe.”

“Hey, I never said I believed that one.”

“Well, that's what started this whole conversation.”

“Fair enough I guess.”

“Can we get back to studying? That is what we came here for, remember?”

“Tex has a point,” Sela said.

“Fine,” Carin sighed. “You two are no fun though.”

One thing I really like about looking back at my old art is seeing elements of my current style beginning to show through back then. For example - boldly lined eyelashes, black lineart, unique eye designs, etc.
