did you hear the latest scoop ? we’ve got a new student joining us ! a little birdie told me that they’re called MOON TAEHO, but they kinda remind me of JEON JUNGKOOK — don’t ‘cha think ? you’re probably thinkin’ they’re just another 26 year old in their FIRST year of some MASTER'S DEGREE IN ARCHITECTURE , but wait ‘till you hear about their GRAVITY MANIPULATION ! nifty, huh ? they’re pretty DILIGENT on nullivi, but you should watch out for their CRITICAL just in case ! anyway — if you wanna check them out, i heard they’re staying at the BLUE HALL as their latest RESIDENT ADVISOR. oops ! you didn’t hear that one from me ! ༊*·˚ Â
this is autumn (she/her, 21+) and i bring you the always tired ra of the blue hall, moon taeho! has a little of a tricky situation with his family and actually took an almost two years break before starting his masters program to check if they were still strained and considering that he's back for higher education you can imagine the answer to that. but overall, he's just a sweet person with a touch of grumpy and forever dark circles under his eyes. under the cut will be a rundown of him plus a couple of plot ideas to help get this started!
I. PAST
his family is pretty ordinary despite them being sort of rich considering his dad is the ceo of an architecture company and his mom a famous graphic designer.
and it isn't like they're anti-anomalies or anything but neither of them have powers so when taeho is born with one they sort of don't know what to do with a kid that can control gravity.
but at least they try until taeho's non-anomaly baby brother is born with a sick body so taeho is sort of left to his own devices most of the time because, according to his parents, he was healthy and had super powers! what more could a child need to survive?
so he learned how to be an adult a little too soon and how to look after himself; surprisingly he doesn't really resent neither his parents nor his brother for it and he does love them dearly, would die and kill for them, even if the relationship with his parents is still awkward at best.
as a matter of fact, he picked up a fight in the middle of his first year of high school because someone was talking shit about his family while trying to bully him that almost got him expelled since he might've lost control of his powers and nearly crushed the not so poor bully, oop.
otherwise was a good student with good grades and as much as he just wanted to chill throughout his school years, he still ended up class president more than once and almost if not all of his group assignments he ended up as the group's leader because at the end of the day he's very critical and methodical about things, esp academic work, so he ends up taking charge just so things will be up to his standards. he also has very dependable vibes so people end up relying on him a lot too so in the end he does end up in positions of leadership even if the i in his mbti wants otherwise.
characteristics that he carries with himself to this day. hence why new semester is yet another broken promise that he'll just chill in group tasks and agree with everything and hence why he ends up as blue hall's ra.
was also an undergraduate student at sua esp because his parents thought that maybe he'd feel better at an university with "other people like him" and honestly that seemed less of a hassle than moving to the states so he says yes.
started working with his dad after his graduation, thinking that maybe now that he's older, he'll finally get to have a proper relationship with his family that isn't painfully awkward but even after almost two years, nothing has really changed so he decides to try for a master's degree at sua and that's where he is right.
II. PERSONALITY
very much the "someone has to do this and unfortunately it'll be me", somewhat nanami kento from jjk vibes though he complains about the responsibilities and work that he has but won't hand them out to anyone else to do it instead either.
is loyal to a fault to the people of his inner circle and that's why he's very selective of whom he allows in, though he never really pushes anyway away and can be quite nice and attentive.
is a good equally a good listener for people who want advice and for those who just want to vent out a little; and is a good ra as well-- always checking up on everyone to see if everything is ok, all of that stuff.
doesn't have the best of the first impressions since he's always looking like he just pulled a very rough all nighter (he prob did) or that he's in a shitty mood (he prob is), but if someone comes up to talk to him, he softens up right away and isn't hostile towards them at all.
isn't necessarily a people pleaser nor a pushover, but he's caring and thoughtful of the people around him. the type that does little kind gestures that no one is really expecting of him like noticing when people around him aren't ok and doing a little something for them, probably relating to something they commented they liked and they thought no one was paying attention/gave importance to-- well, taeho did; or drawing attention to someone who tried to speak but for this or that reason wasn't heard by the rest of the participants of the conversation.
not really the type to initiate social interactions unless he feels like he has the obligation to (i.e. being the ra, etc etc) and mostly keeps to himself, either smoking his stress away or trying to finish whatever assignment that he has.
uses body modifications (tattoos and piercings) as a stress reliever as well! he just finished his full sleeve so now he's a little more focused on piercings tbh. is a manga/anime/manhwa nerd and def has a tattoo of it though i have to yet decide which one
you know you really unlocked his last friendship level when he starts acting like a whining baby around you and actually listening to you when you nag him about his unhealthy habits like forgetting to eat and having a proper night of sleep (overall just letting you look after him).
III. PLOTS
people from blue hall ! i'm sure he has talked to everyone at least once even if they never looked for him and maybe he could be your favorite ra because as much as he always looks like he's either ready to hibernate for 84 years or unalive someone, he's actually very nice/competent as a ra / maybe you don't like him very much because usually when he comes to talk to you is to (gently and figuratively) pull your ear for minor transgressions of the dorm rules.
a little help ! he caught you looking miserable sitting outside of your dorm room and is about to ask what is wrong/if you forgot your key/passcode when he hears a suspicious sound from your room (read: you've been se*iled) and realizes what is going on so he kindly offers if you'd like to wait on his room while your roommate finishes their business, and now it's sort of a routine for you to look for him whenever that happens or even just because you want to hang out for any other reason.
fellow hall leaders ! probably someone(s) that he bonded with over their experience of dealing with a dorm full of young adults and trying to put some order in it.
rent-a-boyfriend ! someone who is in need of a fake boyfriend for whatever reason (introduce him to their family so they'll be kicked out left alone / impress their in a relationship!friends / they joked about having a bf and missed the timing to say it was a joke so now they have to keep the lie up, etc etc) and for some reason taeho ends up being your guy.
classmates ! someone who loves doing projects with him because taeho does most of hard work anyway or maybe someone who doesn't like doing projects with him because you two end up always bumping heads due to difference of opinions and no one is too willing to give in.
ex(es) / crushes / weird flirtationship that looks more like bickeringship / blind date(s) or not so much blind date(s) / smoke one of us always has the lighter when the other doesn't buddies / anime/manga/manhwa buddies / gym you're the only reason i didn't break my strike yet buddies or even gym rivals to gym buddies / tba if i manage to come up with more of them !
