A grave mistake
Sirius has been gone for fifteen months, and a lot has changed. Not least is that Remus has gotten married to someone else. Which might not have been heartbreaking, if it wasn’t for the fact that it was only a year after Sirius died. And to his cousin. And to a woman. With a war raging around them, a godson Sirius needs to track down, and a marriage Remus needs to disentangle himself from, the last thing they need is to get swept up in an affair.
If only it were that simple.

it won’t however be included in the collection, which was not my decision. i made the mistake of posting these chapters before the deadline whilst i was writing them, and i discovered later this was against the rules which i had unintentionally misinterpreted. this was an honest mistake (albeit a grave one 🙃) which i fully own up to
the mods decided that because of this they wouldn’t accept my work in the collection or acknowledge it as part of the fest. obviously they are within their rights to do that as mods. however, i feel it’s an overreaction to the mistake i made, particularly as they never specified there would be a penalty for breaking the rules. it bothers me that the weeks of work i put into this fic to contribute to the fest were thrown aside, which i find disrespectful and unfair. as they themselves won’t acknowledge my work, i want to be clear in my masterlist of this fic as to why, and to make sure @impishtubist also gets recognition for their wonderful prompt
