This one goes out to the anon asking for how Jon would comfort Martin- I had this idea that sometimes Martin has quite literal ‘brain fog’ days and just needs some time to wind down, and the ultimate remedy for this is just settling down and watchin a movie!

Ancestral offerings
Bread
“In Western cultures, bread is strongly associated with life. It has formed the backbone of many diets, particularly for the middle and lower classes, since we first discovered how to make it. Wheat flour and water mixed together can only sustain a human being for a while. Eventually that person will die of malnutrition unless they eat something else. But if you allow that same flour and water a moment alone, something miraculous happens: natural contaminants in the flour act as yeast and ferment it, causing the dough to rise. Once baked into bread, the result can sustain human life indefinitely. For this reason, the first human cities developed when we had the means to reliably cultivate and store grain. Also for this reason, the socioeconomic factor most closely linked to political unrest and revolution is the price of bread.
Our intimate relationship with bread is reflected in the ancient cult of Demeter and even modern Christianity, whose central ritual is the consumption of the flesh of God in the form of bread. When you offer bread to your ancestors, you are offering something that the last 30,000 years of your ancestral line likely ate every day and associated with life and divinity. It is the modern food that the largest segment of your ancestral line knew in their earthly lives, making it an excellent offering when you wish to reach those older generations.
Coffee and Tea
Coffee and tea are both stimulants. They can be offered to your ancestors to “wake them up” when you need them to get working, especially if you need them to intervene quickly. If there’s a problem in your life that you would like to bring their attention to, you may wish to give them a cup of coffee or tea while making your petition.
Sweets
Sweets come at the end of a meal on special occasions. Likewise, we may offer them to our ancestors as a sign of special thanks after some favor is received. (Compare with coffee and tea, which are served when that favor is needed!) Alternatively, you may wish to offer sweets when you need to sweeten someone, that is, when you need them to favor you: for example, when you want a new job or promotion.”

Magical Waters & Recipes Every Water Witch Should Know About
A few things before we get into this! Not all of these magical waters are meant to be consumed. Any waters you plan to ingest should be made with bottled water for safest results. Any herbs used should also be researched. Always always always be aware of what you’re putting into your body! Also this is for reference so it is very shorthanded with the recipes. You should have no problem finding more detailed versions online or in a book. Be sure to label your waters as specifically as possible. Date made/collected, herbs used, safe for consumption, etc should all be included. Lastly, any waters can have appropriate food coloring and/or glitter added to them as well.
Natural, to collect:
1. Rain - renewal, cleansing, adds extra potency to spells, peace, relaxation
2. Storm - strength, confidence, motivation, force, protection, cursing
3. Snow - purification, transformation, ending for a new beginning
4. Swamp - binding, cursing, banishing, warding
5. Sea - purification, protection, psychic abilities, healing, cursing
6. Lake - knowledge, memories, reflection, emotions
7. Pond - binding, restricting
8. River - moving on/forward, change, cycles
9. Dew - beauty, youth, fertility, love
Simple, charged waters:
1. Sun - purification, positivity, energy, solar magic Bask in the sun from sunrise to sunset
2. Moon - purification, balance, lunar magic, adds extra potency to spells Bask in the moonlight overnight
3. Rainbow - positivity, luck, hope, unity, money Use a mirror or another reflective object to make a ‘rainbow’ and leave water there for at least one hour
4. Shadow - strengthens secrets, hides truth, deception Bask in an area that receives no light whatsoever for a day
Advanced, to make:
1. War - banishing, cursing - put nails and some spanish moss into a glass jar with one cup of water and let it sit for several weeks. - once the moss decays and the color turns dark and murky, it’s ready - meant to be thrown at the feet or on the doorstep of recipient - can also be used as a protective barrier around the house
2. Indigo - protection, purification, empower charms - mix one cup of water with 1 mexican anil ball
3. Infusions - usually used with fragile herbal matter - pour 2 cups of boiling water over 3 whole flowers - cover and leave until it cools completely - strain into a glass container with a non-metallic lid - store in a cool, dark place
4. Decoctions - usually used with dense herbal matter - simmer herbal matter with 8 oz water - do this until matter becomes limp & pale - strain, store in a cool, dark place
5. Inks - light a candle and hold the back or bowl of a metal spoon ABOVE the flame until it is covered with a black soot - scrape off the black soot into a small bowl. *warning: this can be extremely tedious and time consuming - add hot distilled water, one drop at a time, to dissolve the soot - slowly add powdered gum arabic until desired consistency is achieved - you can also try beet, grape or any other dark colored juice - invisible ink is something you can try as well
6. Flower Essences Honestly, I’ve seen a few different ways to make these floating around online. I do not have enough experience with these to claim which is the ‘right’ way to do it, but, I do suggest you research it to see if it is something you’d be interested in making and utilizing in your craft. Especially if you have your own garden or greenhouse. It involves cutting fresh flowers and putting them in the sun with absolutely no shadows passing through it. I believe the process is similar to a gem essence. These are meant to be consumed, so please do your own research before attempting.
7. Gem Essences/Elixers - place a cleansed, non-toxic crystal or gem into a clear glass bowl or bottle with water - leave in sun or moonlight 6-12 hours - remove crystal and add 2/3 preservative (this is the mother essence) - add 7 drops of the mother essence to a small glass dropper - top off with 1/3 preservative and 2/3 water (this is for use)
There are plenty other forms of magical waters and this list is by no means complete. Again, a simple search can find you more detailed versions or variations on these recipes. But I believe these are the most valuable to any witch who likes to use water in their craft.

Sorry this took a while for me to get out! I popped it into my drafts when I was on mobile and, honestly, forgot it was there.

Magickal Tip for Growing Plants from [this post] by @witchofthenorse:
Sing or talk to your plants daily! Not only will the positive energy they receive help them grow strong, so will the more direct source of Carbon Dioxide.
Use rain water or moon water to water your plants! You can really use any kind of water but I advise against sea water unless you boil the salt out first.
Bonus! Charge your water with crystals. I like to leave mine out under the moon with moss agate, clear quartz, and rose quartz to encourage growth into a strong, beautiful plant.
If you smoke weed, ashes are lovely to give to plants once a week, most ashes work to be honest. You can also use left over tea leaves to compost as well, you can infuse/encourage your plants with energies of the tea!You can also include eggshell powder or water from when you boil eggs in your waterings once a week to help aid it’s growth.
I wouldn’t suggest feeding them plant food until their adults though just because it’s really simple to over feed them. But it’s okay to throw some eggshells in the beginning.
Leave your plants under the moon to let the charge. Or when they’re in the sun let that charge them to bring energy and happiness into your home and life.
Leave crystals next to your plants or create little spell jar to keep in your garden. I have one of citrine, clear quartz, bay, oak, and a little love letter to Freyr because he’s my patron god and a god of nature.
This may sound weird but I swear my little green guys love jivin’ to music, play some and dance around with them, let them be lively and included in your life. We’ve been listening to a lot of Janis Joplin lately.
If your plant indoors you don’t have worms!! Oh no! Poke little holes in your soil (after their healthy sprouts) to make sure the soil isn’t compacted.
Understand how much space your plants are going to need. It’s a common mistake for gardeners to get too small of pots. Research the type of roots your plants have - not all grow down some grow wide and need wider more shallow pots.
Look for the best place in the house for each plant, and don’t be afraid to try different locations until you find the best spot. Some plants are picky and that’s a-okay!
Aphrodite Was At Pride
She was marching with the lesbians, decked in shades of pink and “my girlfriend doesn’t know I’m a lesbian” shirt. They all lock arms, laughing, sweaty and covered in body paint and glitter, and her eyes tear up as her heart swells at the sight of all these girls supporting one another.
She was with the POC group, fist raised in the air chanting “Black Lives Matter” until her throat was raw. She can’t help but notice the dirty looks and the racist comments, but they only fuel her onward, she will not stand idly by as lives are consumed by hatred and ignorance.
She was with the bisexuals, a blue pink and purple flag waving behind her. She leads the charge, music blasting behind her, her presence larger than life. Their love will not be unheard or erased, not today.
She was with the trans men, reminding those who need it to take a break from their binders every couple hours, and to take a good stretch too. Pride is exciting and nerve wracking, and sometimes people forget to take care of themselves.
She was with the trans women, coordinating the flag carriers. Some of them have become confident in their identity, but others are still trying to find their footing. She beams at them, lovingly welcoming them to the sisterhood.
She was with the pansexual’s, tossing confetti into the air and laughing as children run to catch it. Love exists every where, and is open to everyone, and she is happy to remind the world of that.
She was with asexual’s and aromantic’s, because love exists outside of sex or romance. The young boy walking beside her is clearly nervous, so she bumps his shoulder and reminds him that he’s among friends, and his smile becomes a little more genuine.
She was with the gay men, watching as an anxious couple leans into each other, foreheads touching as they take a few deep breaths. Their hands intertwine and together they bravely move to join the rest of the group for their first pride. She can’t help but be proud of how far they’ve come.
She was with the ally’s, rainbows painted on her cheeks. Some carry pictures and LED candles, memorials to their LGBT loved ones who were no longer alive to celebrate with. She comforts them in their grief, reminding them that through their love their loved ones live on.
She was with the elderly, pushing an elderly woman’s wheelchair. Excitement buzzes through the group, some of whom have known her glow for nearly a century, while others are just now getting the chance to explore it.
She was with the nonbinary’s, handing out pamphlets about gender identity, expression and the importance of respecting people’s pronouns. Colourful beads hang from her neck and wrists, adding to the festive feel.
Aphrodite was at Pride. She was there, reminding everyone to be loud and proud, because love, peace and acceptance were worth it. She was there, shouting to the heavens the simple truth that love belonged to everyone.
